R.D. House Real Estate & Property Management of Seattle Receives BBB 2011 Business of the Year Torch Award Nomination, Second in Two Years

Dedication to customer satisfaction using time-tested best practices alongside new innovations has been a key to success for the Seattle company.

2011-02-28
SEATTLE, WA, February 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) Seattle-based R.D. House Real Estate and Property Management (www.rd-house.com) announced their nomination for the 2011 Business of the Year Torch Awards today, which are sponsored by Better Business Bureau of Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington. This is the second year that R.D. House has received a nomination for the Torch Awards, which honor companies that have demonstrated excellence in the marketplace. One company is chosen as Business of the Year -in both small and large business categories- for Customer Service, Community Involvement, and Innovative Business Practices.

Acknowledging his company's nomination, Owner and Designated Broker Ricky D. Sadler (known as "Ricky D" to his clients and tenants) said "This is an outstanding honor, thank you Seattle! We really are just humbled to be considered with the other great companies nominated this year"

R.D. House has focused its efforts to deliver high customer value and satisfaction using time-tested best practices alongside new innovations. With a core philosophy of attention to detail in every aspect of the owner and tenant services the company provides, things like knowing each property personally, driving by often, walking the surrounding neighborhood, and knowing each tenant by name aren't just platitudes, they are part of every employees job. "The best way to know how a property is doing, is for every one of my team to be hands on," said Ricky D. "You have to get out from behind the desk and out of the car to see ...is the yard in great shape, is there litter or debris in or around the property, are the roof, gutters, windows, structure and other elements well maintained, does it meet the standards of the surrounding neighborhood...these are things that can only be well managed by frequent observation, and it's a cornerstone of how we've built our reputation for R.D. House". And because they know the properties well, employees will often drive by even when they are on other business (or personal errands) in the area and report their observations back to the office.

But it's not all old-school. R.D. House also innovates heavily in areas such as online and social network marketing. Built on the vision to "re-define property management", one fundamental way they do this is through an extensive online presence, including a blog and company page on FaceBook, unit advertising via Twitter, and "video walkthrough" features in online ads. The result is that "we maintain a lower-than-market average vacancy rate of 22 days on market by using these tools as a meaningful competitive advantage in leasing properties. And that is what really makes a difference in this market," notes Ricky D.

The 2011 Better Business Bureau Business of the Year Torch Award winners will be announced in April, 2011.

Blue Tax Tax Attorneys Help a Taxpayer with IRS Wage Garnishment

2011-02-28
Once the IRS establishes that a taxpayer has not fulfilled his financial obligations to them, they are relentless in collecting. Often times, the IRS will file a wage garnishment against the taxpayer instructing the employer to withhold a portion of the employee's income which goes to the IRS. This usually comes as a surprise and is always upsetting to the taxpayer. Raymond B. (Coal Port, PA) came to the Blue Tax offices after the IRS had filed Substitute for Returns for the years of 2005 and 2006, two years in which Raymond had not filed income taxes himself. The IRS ...

Of course, these dentists don't pretend to be physicians and always refer patients to bariatric surgeons for proper consultation, but dentists like Denver sleep apnea dentist, Dr. Kevin Berry, ...

T. rex more hyena than lion

T. rex more hyena than lion
2011-02-24
The ferocious Tyrannosaurus rex has been depicted as the top dog of the Cretaceous, ruthlessly stalking herds of duck-billed dinosaurs and claiming the role of apex predator, much as the lion reigns supreme in the African veld. But a new census of all dinosaur skeletons unearthed over a large area of eastern Montana shows that Tyrannosaurus was too numerous to have subsisted solely on the dinosaurs it tracked and killed with its scythe-like teeth. Instead, argue paleontologists John "Jack" Horner from the Museum of the Rockies and Mark B. Goodwin from the University ...
