RIVERSIDE, RI, March 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Wealth Masters International March's Consultant of the Month: Bob Chappell of Home Based Company, LLC

On the first of March, the phone rings and I hear "Bob, it's Karl Bessey here. I just wanted to let you know that you have been chosen 'WMI Consultant of the Month.'"

My initial thought was "Wow... me? But there are so many more deserving people!"

Let me say that I am completely humbled and honored to receive this call from Karl.

I am so grateful that I found Wealth Masters International (Kip and Karl's Dream) through the three points of Wealth, Health and Wisdom that have completely salvaged my life.

I ran several businesses over the years and in January of 2000, I made a mistake and fell 40 feet from a roof while working on a data satellite. This fall took away my ability to work in the field and the end of my company was in plain sight. I was looking for something to replace my income and I was still searching when the recession we are now in took a hold of my life. In a two-month period, my net worth of 1.5 million dollars was GONE.

Now what do I do? I'm still not walking well, 8+ years and 12 prosthetic legs later and my now savings were gone. I felt broken and lost...this 30-year self-employed hard nose was now living in fear.

There are some things in life you have to be completely grateful for. For me that would be my wife Paula, because without her unwavering belief and support in me, I would not have had the courage to continue on to find Wealth Masters International.

If it were not for the true insight of Kip and Karl, spreading the knowledge of Wealth, Health and Wisdom to live a complete and abundant life, I do not think my story would be available to help others today.

I am most grateful to Wealth Masters International because the community stands up and represents integrity.

My health has now completely turned around and I've lost almost 100 pounds. I'm now walking on my 15th leg almost effortlessly and exercising daily for 2 hours in the gym, and I attend yoga twice a week since meeting another member at an m2 Conference where she showed me that YES I can do this. Thank you, Shelli! And I also need to thank my sponsors Susann and Rick. This is just a small portion of the immense WMI community that have pulled together to help each and every one of us. Thank you.

I am a very humble person, but I wanted to share an article written about me that explains my focus, drive and motivation.

An Invincible Entrepreneurial Spirit Leads to Financial Gain

Despite losing his life's earnings in 2008 due to the recession, Bob Chappell's entrepreneurial mindset helped him climb out of a financial disaster and put him on his way to true wealth.

By Brian Zalasky

With wisdom comes health. With health comes wealth. For Robert Bob Chappell, an entrepreneur for over thirty years, this spin on an old turn of phrase is a mantra for his new life. Few could understand the true motivation behind his mantra as much as Bob, an above-the-knee amputee who knows a lot about physical anguish, not to mention the power of mental fortitude. Yet his condition hasn't slowed him down; in fact, it makes his goal of helping people understand how to empower themselves that much clearer.

"Self-reliance is a powerful mechanism," Bob says. In his thirty years of owning several businesses, Bob saw ups and downs that would send many individuals back to the cubicle life in corporate America. But not Bob. Instilled with entrepreneurial roots at a young age by his father, Bob learned early on that the "task in hand is your only boss" and "success is a decision." Through his gas and electric company, as well as ventures into real estate and stocks, Bob built a $1.5 million nest egg for his wife and two children.

By the time the recession hit in early fall, 2008, however, being involved in gas services, real estate, and the stock market turned out to be a recipe for financial disaster. "The recession took my life's earnings and torched it," Bob explains.

Yet despite his new money situation, Bob's ambition and determination persevered. "The entrepreneurial spirit cannot be killed."

Fed up with the traditional business models and physically limited by his condition, Bob went to the Internet. Initially, he experienced the pitfalls of referral marketing and direct selling. "That taught me what an MLM was," Bob reflects, "That taught me what an MLM can do to you." After 400 phone calls on his weekend, Bob was left looking for something else.

That "something else" was an online, home-based business that provided unparalleled financial education, as well as a platform for Bob's true passion--helping others understand his or her potential. Bob swears by the financial education and networking available through his home-based business, which he aptly named Home Based Company, LLC.

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with people wanting to work from home," he says. By naming his company Home Based Company, Bob says he remains truthful to his associates, colleagues, and anyone wishing to work with him. "I believe in this honesty: 'The truth will set you free,'" Bob says. "That is absolute power."

As for the support he receives, Bob says the training includes mentorships with some of the most seasoned, successful minds in the industry. "The financial training we receive is... I've never seen anything like. I don't think there is anything like it in the world."

Since starting Home Based Company just over a year ago, Bob is on his way to rebuilding what he had lost in the Great Recession. He insists that just like any business that closes and starts up again, there is a slow build. But it's not all about the money for Bob.

"Most importantly," he stresses, "I'm not living in fear. A lot of people are living in fear [because they] can't see what's up ahead. I can see the road ahead. And it's clear."

The great news is that Bob and Home Based Company, LLC, are ready to share the vision and experience that make them one of the leading teams in the industry. Bob contends that anyone who doesn't have a "self-pity mentality" can "expect to start learning the process of self-reliance right away."

"I educate people in the ways of entrepreneurship," Bob says, "I've got the wisdom--and the bruises--and I want to show them the way to success."

String blossom thinner proves effective across stages of bloom development
2011-03-04
BIGLERVILLE, PA—Blossom or fruitlet thinning is a labor-intensive part of commercial peach and nectarine production. The use of mechanical string blossom thinners has been shown to reduce labor requirements and improve fruit size in peach crops, but stone fruit producers have needed more information about the range of thinning times. New research from Tara Auxt Baugher and colleagues from The Pennsylvania State University and Penn State Cooperative Extension gives producers sought-after data about optimum thinning times. Baugher said that, prior to this study on bloom ...

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan speaks out on the costs of government activism

2011-03-04
NEW YORK—March 3, 2011 — In an article to be published in the forthcoming issue of International Finance, Dr. Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, issues a major analysis of the U.S. government's economic recovery and reform efforts since the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September 2008. Greenspan calculates that long-term fixed corporate investment "is now at levels, relative to cash flow, that we have not experienced since 1940." This shortfall, he explains, accounts for much of the tepid recovery and current abnormally high levels of unemployment. ...

Chicken litter provides organic alternative to synthetic fertilizers
2011-03-04
CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MS—Recent movements aimed at managing environmental impacts of agriculture have spurred interest in the development and use of organic and natural fertilizers for commercial applications. Many organic fertilizers are byproducts of livestock, fish, food, and other processing industries. In Mississippi, where the poultry industry produces more than 730 million broiler chickens each year, and annual chicken litter production is estimated at more than 730,000 tons, there is a naturally abundant supply of chicken litter available for fertilizer. New research ...

Using wastewater to enhance mint production

Using wastewater to enhance mint production
2011-03-04
SOUTH VERONA, MS—When essential oils are extracted from plants through the process of steam distillation, wastewater is produced and subsequently released into rivers and streams. Finding new uses for these unused by-products could benefit essential oil crop growers and processors as well as the environment. A team of researchers has found that the residual distillation water of some aromatic plant species has a beneficial effect on yields and can increase essential oil content of peppermint and spearmint crops. Peppermint and spearmint are commercially produced for their ...

Researchers find possible new treatment strategies for pancreatic cancer

2011-03-04
Athens, Ga. – New University of Georgia research has identified a protein that can be modified to improve the effectiveness of one of the most common drugs used to treat pancreatic cancer. The research, published in the March edition of the journal Cancer Research, found that a cell-surface protein called CNT1, which transports cancer-killing drugs into tumor cells, was reduced in function in two thirds of pancreatic tumors. By improving the function of CNT1, the researchers increased the effectiveness of the cancer-killing drugs in pancreatic tumor cells derived from ...

Feet first? Old mitochondria might be responsible for neuropathy in the extremities

2011-03-04
The burning, tingling pain of neuropathy may affect feet and hands before other body parts because the powerhouses of nerve cells that supply the extremities age and become dysfunctional as they complete the long journey to these areas, Johns Hopkins scientists suggest in a new study. The finding may eventually lead to new ways to fight neuropathy, a condition that often accompanies other diseases including HIV/AIDS, diabetes and circulatory disorders. Neuropathies tend to hit the feet first, then travel up the legs. As they reach the knees, they often start affecting ...

Doctors lax in monitoring potentially addicting drugs

2011-03-04
March 3, 2011 — (BRONX, NY) — Few primary care physicians pay adequate attention to patients taking prescription opioid drugs — despite the potential for abuse, addiction and overdose, according to a new study by researchers at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. The study, published in the March 2 online edition of the Journal of General Internal Medicine, found lax monitoring even of patients at high risk for opioid misuse, such as those with a history of drug abuse or dependence. The findings are especially concerning considering that prescription ...
