NEW YORK, NY, March 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) LearningRx NYC (http://www.learningrx.com/nyc-upper-east-side/) announced today a free open house series for the months of March and April. The open houses are geared to parents and families with children who are struggling to learn in traditional classroom settings. The programs help children with dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Autism and other learning disabilities and can help any child who is struggling in school.

"We help children succeed in school with our focus on strengthening cognitive skills," said Rich Mancuso, Owner and Executive Director of the New York City LearningRx. "Many programs focus on the symptom, our program treats the problem at it's source. Most learning difficulties are driven by weak cognitive skills."

LearningRx Open Houses in March will take place on the 1st, 15th and 25th of the month. April events are planned for the 6th & 19th. Call for event times. Sessions run either at 9:30 AM or 6:00 PM depending on the date. During the open houses attendees will learn about the methodology and process used to help children learn more effectively and efficiently. Demonstrations of the programs will be available and representatives will be around to answers questions about your specific situation. All attendees will receive a voucher for a FREE Cognitive Skills Assessment that can be redeemed in the center. The value is $299 and it can be redeemed for 6 months after issuance.

Special summer programs are being formed for children ages 4 and up. The program is one on one and can be customized to an individual's schedule.

About LearningRx NYC

LearningRx NYC offers a powerful alternative that can bring tremendous relief and astounding results for anyone with dyslexia or a learning disability. The LearningRx brain training methodology is proven to increase mental abilities, improve academic achievement, boost self-esteem and even remove the barriers caused by dyslexia and ADHD. Unlike tutoring, which provides short-term help in a specific academic area, LearningRx addresses the root cause of learning struggles: weak cognitive skills such as attention, processing speed, visual and auditory processing, logic and reasoning, and memory. When those skills are strengthened, the fix is permanent - struggles end, and learning becomes easier, faster and even fun. Brain training can help even the brightest children get smarter and get the edge in this fiercely competitive education environment. More than 25,000 students across the US have gone through LearningRx brain training with life-changing results.

LearningRx will be sponsoring a lunch and presenting at the International Dyslexia Association's 38th Annual Conference on Dyslexia and Related Learning Disabilities March 14th at NYU's Kimmel Center.
