InTime Solutions Announces Major Contract with the Integrated Law and Justice Agency for Orange County (ILJAOC) to Provide Cloud Computed Subpoena Management Related to Court Appearance Scheduling

InTime's next generation staff scheduling system is live across 24 ILJAOC member agencies.

2011-03-09
VANCOUVER, BC, March 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) InTime Solutions is pleased to announce that it has signed a multi-year contract with the Integrated Law and Justice Agency for Orange County (ILJAOC) to enhance the basic electronic staff scheduling application (ISE) to include County-wide Court Appearance Scheduling for law enforcement personnel, and the integration of the overall Subpoena Management function within ISE. Prior to the new contractual Agreement, the Electronic Subpoena System in the County performed as a stand-alone system that was interfaced with the District Attorney's Office. In 2009, InTime completed its County-wide implementation of ISE, its next generation staff scheduling system and the positive feedback from all member agencies led the ILJAOC to investigate the possibility of doing more with InTime.

The initial project included an integrated witness unavailability component that allowed the District Attorney's Office to look at the availability of law enforcement personnel during a designated period, prior to issuing subpoenas. However, the ILJAOC wanted to take the project to the next level and implement an end-to-end subpoena solution, from delivery to call-off, that was fully integrated within the Scheduling System and would populate it with Subpoena related appearances that affected deployment levels. The objective being sought is the potential for a reduction in paid overtime for on-call time, along with improved subpoena management.

"The ability to inform officers instantly via SMS text messaging if a court date has been continued or dispositioned, will have the potential to save Member Agencies significant time and money," notes Bob McDonell, Executive Director of the ILJAOC. "We were attracted to InTime Solutions because of our experience with them over a number of years of providing highly scalable and operationally effective scheduling systems. We also liked the underlying technology, which enabled us to move the system into a cloud computed environment and get out of the business of owning and maintaining computer hardware and the related datacenter support costs. We knew we could trust InTime's implementation record; their support and attention has always been excellent. They really understand law enforcement scheduling."

The contract covers a five year term and will include the roll out of additional modules to the existing County wide system already in place, including ISE Overtime & Leave Management, Training and Asset Modules, and a Payroll Interface. The contract also includes system-wide hosting to include a second, geographically separate fail-over site, and disaster recovery.

"The current implementation with ILJOAC confirms InTime's ability to produce highly flexible solutions that satisfy the requirements of complex multi-agency deployments." notes InTime President and CEO, Harry Dollard. "We are proud of what has been accomplished so far with the ILJOAC and ecstatic InTime's platform allows us the ability to offer our customers the latest in technological advances including true SMS text messaging and a cloud computed environment. We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to a long and beneficial partnership with the member agencies of the ILJOAC."

Deceptive and unfair business practices are governed by both federal and state laws which provide you with legal recourse to recover any damages you may have suffered. Bankruptcy Can Help Consumers, Companies and Cities - Are States Next?

2011-03-09
Bankruptcy is a common solution for consumers, and more than a million spouses and unmarried individuals sought bankruptcy protection under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 in 2010. Small business owners frequently use Chapter 11 to reorganize an enterprise and emerge from a difficult stretch, and the recent massive bankruptcies of U.S. automakers were headline news. In troubled economic times, some American municipal bodies reach a point where Chapter 9 bankruptcy becomes necessary. But no provision exists to allow individual American states to declare bankruptcy. Some policymakers ...

Utah Considers Brain Injury Law to Reduce Concussions in Youth Athletes

2011-03-09
As sports headlines regularly remind us, full protection against brain injuries for athletes who play football, baseball, hockey and other high contact sports may never be achieved. But many states around the country have recently required high school athletic programs to implement head injury policies that reliably identify concussion victims and closely monitor their return to action. A bill currently before the Utah House of Representatives would require youth sports groups to adopt policies that require removal of any young athlete suspected of sustaining a concussion ...
