Livestock-ID, Animal Identification Resources is a blog that provides articles and content geared towards the agriculture market, particularly the livestock industry. The author of the blog George Luker is a well known industry figure in the RFID world, an ex senior sales executive of a RFID manufacturing company. Mr. Luker is an independent sales and consultant for businesses providing aggressive marketing initiatives.

Over the last 10 months, Mr. Luker has been actively involved in the animal identification market with the livestock-ID blog. He has also been proving free consulting and assistance to end users, educating beef cattle producers on current Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, and the true benefits to a producers operation.

Mr. Luker through the Livestock-ID blog consults on a daily basis with cattle producers, consulting is always free; a donation is always appreciated, but never mandatory for his services.

"Animal identification, is one of the most important aspects of our food supply chain, it is more than just an asset, it is a necessity of public health" says Mr. Luker.

Livestock-ID blog has many articles from lists of "Official 840 Ear Tags" for livestock, to information on government rebate and incentive programs, which promote RFID technology for animal identification. Shortly there will be the new Animal Disease Traceability (ADT) system, which will focus on tracking animal movements and disease. The Aim of the trackback system is a 48 hour traceability of livestock to farm of origin that have been identified with a disease.
