The Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame will proudly present a Gala Awards Ceremony and Luncheon hosted by WBZ 1030Õs Jordan Rich, inducting seventeen of MassachusettsÕ most popular and respected radio and television broadcasters into the Hall of Fame on Thursday, September 16 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Marriott Quincy, [1200 Crown Colony Drive, Quincy, MA 02169; exit 18/19 off Route 3 at the Braintree split].Tickets at $45.00 are on sale now and may be purchased on line at the new MBHOF website http://www.massbroadcastershof.org, or by mailing a check for the full amount of tickets requested to Mass. This yearÕs Honorees will include radio personality BRUCE ARNOLD, television executive JIM COPPERSMITH, on-air radio personality and station executive PHIL D. (Phil G. Drumheller), American Rock & Roll Hall of Fame radio disc jockey DALE DORMAN, esteemed TV news anchor TOM ELLIS, WBZ news man GARY LAPIERRE, WBUR FMÕs 35-year host of ÁCon Salsa! JOSE MASSO, radio executive and manager PHILIP A. WEINER, WCVB TVÕS investigative reporter and anchor JANET WU and WBUR FM, National Public Radio host of Here & Now, ROBIN YOUNG and 102-year-old former Regional Vice President of Westinghouse WILMER ÒBILLÓ C. SWARTLEY, JR.
Also honored will be several deceased members of the broadcast media: WRKO reporter, news director, and news and public affairs director ROGER ALLAN, one of the great masters of sports play-by-play KEN COLEMAN, one of the Bay StateÕs most wonderful and influential childrenÕs show hosts ÒBIG BROTHER BOBÓ EMERY, arguably, the most recognizable classical music voice in New England broadcast history ROBERT J. LURTSEMA, Boston CelticsÕ legendary play-by-play announcer JOHNNY MOST and longtime sales executive at WHDH radio and the founder and president of the now-defunct New England Broadcasters Association, HARRY WHEELER.

Please note that this event is being held in Quincy at the Marriott Quincy Hotel. Massasoit Community College in Brockton is the location of the permanent Mass. Broadcasters Hall of Fame exhibit.
