KINGSTON, ON, April 14, 2011 (Press-News.org) Some may say the last thing the Internet needs is another E-mail Marketing Company. Thankfully this attitude is indicative of a general lack of vision, not fact hardened accuracy. There's room to grow, and many facets to improve. Jeff Sturgis - a veteran Web Developer based in Kingston, Ontario - is only to aware of this need. Sturgis has constructed a new and innovative E-mail Marketing Service that has taken this popular method of advertising above and beyond industry standards. His creation, MailPropeller (http://www.mailpropeller.com), was founded on some pretty lofty ideals. However, unlike many ideals, this substantial project met reality with commendable voracity and no shortage of praise.
"It's a combination of great ideas I have seen around the internet." Sturgis says. "I love what Google has done - they have taken a traffic engine and combined it with a self maximizing revenue model (cost-per-click) to drive highly targeted traffic to websites."
Sturgis learned early on that e-mail marketing is a highly lucrative means to enhance customer relations, drive traffic back to your website and increase conversion. "If you Google search 'email marketing doesn't work', the results will tell you how you are doing it wrong." Sturgis states.
One site which Sturgis modelled himself after is AddThis. AddThis is a copy and paste solution which allows users to share the webpage on almost every social network when pasted into the HTML code. Sturgis uses a similar copy and paste strategy which enables users to sign up to an e-mail list. "What I like about AddThis" Sturgis says, "is that it took the complex problem of integrating with countless social networks and simplified it to the point where it takes webmasters less than 5 minutes to accomplish." Sturgis feels that a common problem with e-mail marketing is the challenge of list segmenting. "E-mail Marketing Professionals are always trying to answer the question of who to offer what." Sturgis says. "Most E-mail Service Providers take an after the fact approach to solving this problem." MailPropeller, on the other hand, allows their clients to start segmenting their list right away. "By providing our clients with the ability to create as many lists as they want, and as many different e-mail captures as they desire for each list, our clients are able to segment their subscribers in the beginning which helps them better answer the question of who and what as soon as they start campaigning."
MailPropeller is no place for spammers. It has been designed so that the most lucrative traffic will thrive. Sturgis explains, "MailPropeller charges $0.01 per campaign e-mail sent. This price is outrageously expensive and impractical to low quality e-mail lists. But,to send an e-mail to 1,000 highly targeted people where the list has a 50% open rate and 50% click rate, it works out to $0.04 per click."
Sturgis admits that most other E-mail Service Providers are charging flat monthly rates based on list size and that his pay-as-you-go model depends on people sending e-mails to generate revenue. "Sending e-mail through MailPropeller would be more expensive than other providers if users were close to their maximum list size and wanted to send daily e-mail. But the prices are very comparable for clients who wish to send weekly. And if they wish to send less frequently than weekly it is actually more economical."
It doesn't end there. Sturgis has more revenue generation plans up his sleeve. Later this year, he plans to launch his advertising platform, modelled after Google's cost-per-click. This means MailPropeller's clients will be able to place ads in their e-mail. These ad placements will be auctioned off to the highest approved bidder.
"E-mail marketing is essentially a traffic generating engine. MailPropeller plans to tap into the targeted traffic generated by allowing clients to place as many ads in their e-mails as they want. The bidding on these ads starts at $0.01. So instead of charging people to send e-mail, MailPropeller can actually pay our clients to send e-mail." Like Google, MailPropeller will take a percentage of the revenue generated through the pay-per-email model.
"Worst case scenario is that they have to pay $0.01 per campaign e-mail. But if the client approves ads in their campaigns, they sky's the limit as to how much money they can make."
The online market is awash with gimmicks and sales pitches, which means start-up online businesses have to offer something fresh, appealing and genuine in order to stand out. MailPropeller is focused on keeping it simple and bringing something new to E-mail Marketing.

Anyone who uses the Internet to book a hotel knows the routine. First you tell the website when you're traveling, where you're going and how many rooms will be required. At this point you are given the option to sort by price or rating. That can be a tough decision, especially if you've got a big family needing multiple rooms. There certainly are bargains out there, but that one or two star rating can sometimes bring on homesickness rather quickly. Some would-be travelers simply delay their travel plans and hold out for nicer accommodations when they can better afford them.
