LONDON, ENGLAND, May 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) International star of stage and screen Rupert Everett will play the role of Henry Higgins in an adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in London.

The current run will see the Garrick Theatre host the show until September 3rd 2011.

Playing the flower girl Eliza Doolittle will be Kara Tointon, who may be familiar from her time on EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing.

In a statement, the organisers said: "Pygmalion remains one of the most popular of George Bernard Shaw's plays, full of his trademark wit, style and provocative insights, as well as a beguiling and enduring humour."
