LONDON, ENGLAND, May 23, 2011 (Press-News.org) The brilliant game designers at no download casino WinADay have come up with yet another completely original, one-of-a-kind slot machine. Before they launch it next month, they're asking players to name it.

Like all of WinADay's newest casino games, this one will be a full-screen, 5 reel, 21 pay line slot machine with amazing graphics and effects. In a tribute to the spirit of America, the reels will be adorned with symbols of the land of the free and home of the brave including baseballs, hamburgers and Uncle Sam's star spangled top hat. A Statue of Liberty will be the Wild symbol.

This online slot machine is carved into the rocks of the Grand Canyon surrounded by dry desert earth and cactus. The reels will be built into the rock and the current progressive jackpot value will be carved into the stone above them. It will have a unique free bonus game and lots of chances to earn free spins.

WinADayCasino.com is holding a contest to name the new game. The player submitting the winning name will receive a $500 credit in their WinADay account. Everyone that enters (by suggesting a name) will get a $10 bonus credit to try out the new game for themselves.

Voting continues on the online casino's new Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/WinADayCasino) until midnight Wednesday; the winning name will be announced on Thursday. Players can put their own name suggestion on the ballot at any time - but the sooner they do so the more time they have to win votes. (Contest terms are posted on Facebook.)

"We get lots of feedback from players about what they like and don't like in new games and that feedback definitely guides the design of the next new game," said Michael Hilary, manager of WinADayCasino.com. "For instance, we've had lots of requests for a traditional pub-style fruity machine so last week we launched Fruitful 7s. While we always value our players' opinions, this is the first time we've actually had them choose the name of a new game. We're looking forward to seeing what they come up with!"

The new America-themed game won't be available until next month but in the meantime the new Fruitful 7s, WinADay's 25th one-of-a-kind online slot machine, is getting rave reviews from players.

Most of WinADay's slots are tied to one progressive jackpot which was recently hit for $167,648 by a player known as GOLD1968. She was playing her favourite game at the time, the popular Vegas Mania slot machine. The jackpot has since been reset and is currently over $87,000.

Ants give new evidence for interaction networks

Ants give new evidence for interaction networks
2011-05-23
Be it through the Internet, Facebook, the local grapevine or the spread of disease, interaction networks influence nearly every part of our lives. Scientists previously assumed that interaction networks without central control, known as self-directed networks, have universal properties that make them efficient at spreading information. Just think of the local grapevine: Let something slip, and it seems like no time at all before nearly everyone knows. By observing interactions in ant colonies, University of Arizona researcher Anna Dornhaus and doctoral candidate Benjamin ...

Human brain's most ubiquitous cell cultivated in lab dish

2011-05-23
MADISON – Pity the lowly astrocyte, the most common cell in the human nervous system. Long considered to be little more than putty in the brain and spinal cord, the star-shaped astrocyte has found new respect among neuroscientists who have begun to recognize its many functions in the brain, not to mention its role in a range of disorders of the central nervous system. Now, writing in the current (May 22) issue of the journal Nature Biotechnology, a group led by University of Wisconsin-Madison stem cell researcher Su-Chun Zhang reports it has been able to direct embryonic ...

Scientists find odd twist in slow 'earthquakes': Tremor running backwards

2011-05-23
Earthquake scientists trying to unravel the mysteries of an unfelt, weeks-long seismic phenomenon called episodic tremor and slip have discovered a strange twist. The tremor can suddenly reverse direction and travel back through areas of the fault that it had ruptured in preceding days, and do so 20 to 40 times faster than the original fault rupture. "Regular tremor and slip goes through an area fairly slowly, breaking it. Then once it's broken and weakened an area of the fault, it can propagate back across that area much faster," said Heidi Houston, a University of ...

NEW ORLEANS, LA – May 22, 2011 -- The stomach bacteria responsible for ulcers could also play a role in the development of Parkinson's disease according to research presented today at the 111th General Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology. "Infection of late middle-aged mice with a particular strain of the bacteria Helicobacter pylori results in development of Parkinson's disease symptoms after 3-5 months," says Traci Testerman of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, who presented the research. "Our findings suggest that H. pylori ...
