MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, May 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) There is not long to go until runners take their places on the Pattaya Marathon starting line, with the race scheduled for July 17th 2011.
Starting and finishing at Pattaya Beach Road, the challenge offers participants a beautifully scenic route along the coast.
In order to beat the daytime heat the event normally begins at about 04:30 local time, giving runners a chance to complete a significant amount of the course before the sun is high in the sky.
However, such is the excitement in the city regarding the marathon, there is normally a huge number of people lining the streets to cheer on participants.
It is free to be a spectator, but travellers may wish to get to their favoured spot early if it is in a popular position, such as at the start or finish line.
As well as the full race, there will also be a half marathon and a 10.5 km course, which may be more suitable for those who have not carried out a rigorous training schedule but still want to get involved.
