MELROSE, MT, May 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Sunrise Fly Shop, the largest fly shop and fly fishing guide service on the Big Hole River in Southwest Montana reminds all fly anglers that Saturday, May 21st marks the opening of the general fishing season in Montana, with all rivers and streams in Montana open for fishing.
What this means for Southwest Montana is that one of Montana's most productive tailwater fisheries, the Beaverhead River, will be 100% open. To help welcome the opening of the Beaverhead River for the 2011 season, the Sunrise Fly Shop is offering an "Opening Day Special". From Saturday May 21, 2011 until Friday June 10th you can book a 3-nights/2-day guided fishing and lodging package for only $500.00 per person (based on double occupancy). If you have ever wanted to fly fish the famous tailwater section of the Beaverhead in the days just after its opening, this is a great opportunity.
Clark Canyon Reservoir is currently slightly over 96% full, and the discharge out of the dam is 351 cfs. Because of the excellent water levels in the reservoir, the Beaverhead River was allowed to flow at over 300 cfs all winter long. According to Montana Fisheries Biologists, Overwinter flows in excess of 200 cfs, similar to what was experienced in the early 1980's and late 1990's helps produce populations of larger and healthier trout.
"After having another winter of phenomenal flows, the Beaverhead browns and rainbows should be as big and as strong as we have seen in a while" said Eric Thorson, co-owner of the Sunrise Fly Shop in Melrose. "We are all excited to see how the trout in the upper river have grown over the winter."
In celebration of the opening of the general fishing season in Montana, the Sunrise Fly Shop is offering a $500.00 per person, 3-night/2-day fly fishing package. If you are interested in fly fishing the Beaverhead River and Southwest Montana this spring, you will not be able to find a better package price than this.

Of all the precious metals, gold is arguably the most popular, with a long history of being a reliable resource in any time of crisis. For centuries many currencies were backed by gold. There have been rumors recently that the US government may sell off some of its gold supplies to reduce its debt. These rumors have spawned a number of articles pointing out the extreme inadvisability of such a move.
Warren Bevan, in his 'Precious Metal Stock Review Newsletter 'of May 18, points out that - even if the US owns all the gold it claims to - selling it would only cover the ...
