The Carolina Center Presents Free Women's Health Seminar on June 28th

One-hour presentation to discuss health challenges for women and their impact on the body

2011-06-25
RALEIGH, NC, June 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) As part of his continuing health series, John C. Pittman, MD, of the Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine (CCIM), will present "Women's Health - An Integrative Approach" on Tuesday, June 28th 7:00-8:00PM. This free presentation will be held at CCIM's office at 4505 Fair Meadow Lane, Suite 111 in Raleigh.

"Women face an ever-increasing variety of health challenges as responsibilities and stress increase in everyone's lives," explains Dr. Pittman. "An Integrative Health Program for women takes into consideration these stressors and seeks to explore how these may impact cellular and organ function throughout the body."

Women's Health is a new presentation recently added to CCIM's existing wellness presentation rotation. Dr. Pittman has taken his most popular topics affecting women's health and has combined it into one cohesive presentation.

"We've discussed these topics in several presentations, but I'm excited to be able to address digestive system disorders, cellular nutrient deficiencies, and hormone deficiencies during one presentation," adds Dr. Pittman. "Hormone deficiencies, in particular, can have profoundly positive effects in women when levels are safely restored."

Seating for this presentation is limited and advanced registration is required in case of cancellation. To reserve your seat, register online at http://www.carolinacenter.com/seminar-calendar.html.

Stay or Walk Away?

2011-06-25
Stay or Walk Away? With the economy in such a slump, it's not surprising that more borrowers than ever are in danger of losing their homes in 2011. More than one million homes were repossessed in 2010, an increase from the 918,000 seized in 2009. According to Realty/Trac, a web firm that tracks foreclosed homes, 1.2 million homes will probably be taken back by lenders this year, an increase of 20 percent. And it seems likely that this number will continue to rise for the next few years. The recent trend among mortgage providers is to suggest loan modifications before ...

According to an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality study, there has been a 39 percent increase in patients leaving AMA since 1997, with 370,000 patients leaving early in 2008. The AHRQ also noted: -The top illnesses patients left ...

2011-06-25
Watch Out for Deceptive Home Loan Modification Practices Small businesses claiming the ability to help homeowners with mortgage relief services are popping up all over the country. With many homes underwater (owing more money to the bank than the home is worth) homeowners are jumping at the chance to reduce mortgage payments. So what is the problem with these companies? Many of them are scams. These dishonest businesses and individuals may charge an up-front fee, perhaps for thousands of dollars, and claim they will negotiate with the banks. Instead, they pocket the ...
