Eat Local Now Dinner Features Silent Auction with Local Foodie Fare and Tours

The Eat Local Now! dinner this Monday features a Silent Auction with a wide array of wares from custom tours and tastings to gift baskets and restaurant gift certificates.

The Eat Local Now! dinner this Monday features a Silent Auction with a wide array of wares from custom tours and tastings to gift baskets and restaurant gift certificates. There is a bounty of items for the local food aficionado plus classes, books, bike tune-ups and massage therapy.

Enjoy an evening celebrating the theme "Choose Good Food" at the 8th Annual Eat Local Now! dinner. This fundraiser is for groups working to encourage healthy local food systems: Seattle Good Business Network, CoolMom and Sustainable West Seattle. The evening includes a fresh salmon or vegan dinner, Canlis chef and author Greg Atkinson as featured speaker, exhibitors, the silent auction and music. Eat Local Now! encourages participation in local food systems, bolstering the local economy and access to healthy local food for everyone.

Local food from Puget Sound will be prepared by Herban Feast's award winning chef Dalis Chea. Locally and sustainably produced beer, wine and fresh cider will be available at a cash bar. Other
organizations involved in our local food economy will have information at the event about purchasing locally as well as growing your own food.
