Now a veteran of the Brooklyn hip hop scene, rising star Etcetera is expanding from coast to coast, becoming a nationally recognized force in the music industry with his exciting blend of energetic rap. From the streets of New York to the red carpet of Hollywood, this burgeoning artist is gracing the cover of nationally recognized magazines such as Protege, while becoming "The New Face to See" at the annual Grammy Awards. Now celebrating the release of his brand new record, Game Change, Etcetera is once again about to remind the entire country of his dominating skill and catchy verses.Originally breaking into the game over a decade ago with the now platinum-selling producer Kwame, Etcetera demonstrated a unique talent for writing and recording winning songs. Radio airplay soon followed suit, as he began to surface on stations from Seattle and Detroit to Hartford and Brooklyn. Igniting the scene with singles such as "Dance Like That," "Take U There," "O.M.G. (Throw Ya Handz Up)," and "Higher," he established himself as one of the hottest up-and-comers in the game, eventually assembling a team of producers who steadily supplied the hip hop upstart with fiery, fresh instrumentals.
The smash success of "Oh No" in 2004 landed Etcetera a rap nomination on the 47th Grammy Awards, validating his already blooming young career. Breaking free of the one-hit-wonder stigma, he returned to the prestigious red carpet awards ceremony two years later for "Welcome 2 Brooklyn," as well as the following year for "Backin' Up," the theme song from the film Stepping.
Akin to major artists such as Will.i.am, Ludacris, and Fabolous, Etcetera demonstrates a wildly successful mix of imaginative hip hop, utilizing elements of R&B and rock in a performance-driven atmosphere. Inspired by a brief exchange on the red carpet with Hollywood icon Kim Kardashian, his latest single "Black Dress" is coinciding with the release of his first women's fragrance, signaling his official venture into the entrepreneurial market.
Featuring 13 tracks of energetic verses and infectious hooks, Game Change was released by TSOB Records onto unsuspecting fans across the country on October 18, 2011. Jam-packed with one explosive song after the other, the record establishes Etcetera as not only a legitimate hit maker, but a true artist capable of producing a solid album from top to bottom.
Game Change and other recordings from the Brooklyn phenom are available via digital download on iTunes and CD Baby. Streaming audio, photos, and performance information is available on his official Facebook or MySpace pages, and music videos can be found on YouTube.
