PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 23, 2011 (Press-News.org) Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. David A. Bottger has made a commitment to reduce his practice's environmental impact. Dr. Bottger has always been committed to serving his community, in the OR and in the neighborhood, and now hopes to do even more for Philadelphia by practicing and promoting awareness of eco-friendly business practices for plastic surgeons through the B2B Green Alliance.

The B2B Green Alliance is sponsored by longtime partner Page 1 Solutions. The B2B Green Alliance is an environmental commitment program and part of the company's Page 1 Green Solutions. Page 1 Solutions hopes to extend its positive environmental impact through the B2B Green Alliance, which seeks to share eco-friendly business techniques with clients. The B2B Green Alliance also serves as a venue for clients to share those practices with other professionals. The theory is that by working together lawyers, dentists, plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, and bariatric surgeons who are concerned about eco-friendly practices can all help one another to achieve greater impact than any could individually.

Dr. Bottger's office has long sought to practice eco-conscious business practices, including energy conservation, water conservation, and recycling. Energy conservation practices initiated in the office include monitoring and maintaining HVAC system for efficiency, cleaning refrigerators, setting thermostats at comfortable but reasonable settings, the use of task lighting, and the use of efficient light bulbs. Dr. Bottger's office also recycles all paper, plastic, and aluminum in the office and purchases paper with recycled content. Water conservation measures include low-flush toilets.
