Power Publishers New Release - The Meth by Tanmay Kulshrestha - A Fallout Of Methamphetamine Dependency

The basic premise of the book "The Meth "is not just tell the story of a couple who fall victim to the dreaded drug called Methamphetamine, but also to alert the world at large to the effects of this drug

2012-01-09
KOLKATA, INDIA, January 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) The novel, while being a love story, has been used by him as a vehicle to raise public awareness against the pitfalls of drug dependency in general & methamphetamine in particular.
It is a tale about Arush and Trisha, who though they love each other, fall victim to the snares of the 'Meth'. He wishes to suggest that the bond of love may be as strong as they wish it to be, but nothing or no one can withstand the buffeting of the craving for the drug. It is a fact that nobody will deny. It has been the ruination of innumerable lives and continues to be. Most live in denial by lying....hence the punch line that 'a lie takes a life'. The people who embark on a course of drug abuse are bound to cause ruination of families, of partners and most importantly, life itself.

The message is strong, unambiguous and very powerful. The Meth is his cry against any more loss of life, especially students, and is a remarkable way to launch his campaign.
May it meet with the success that the idea richly deserves!

A gentleman writer, Tanmay Kulshreshtha, though he lives austerely, speaks of rich pastures and wonderful places he can sail to because the sky is the limit. Although currently pursuing his BTech from KIIT from where he seems on track to graduate in 2013, he has always nurtured a passion for writing. He is a natural mentor, motivator, guide to his colleagues and friends. He is, in addition, a motivational speaker.

Although an engineer, with drafts & documents in his satchel, he wears another hat that of a writer because he also carries dreams in his bag! Because of his innate truthfulness, he faces no difficulty in defining the line that sets the truth free from deep within his soul. From his early days at school, he developed his natural flair for writing by penning down his innate feelings, expressions and moods.

With The Meth, 'when a lie takes a life', his dream of being published has been realized.
This book is brought to you by India's most popular self-publishing Company, Power Publishers (http://power-publishers.com/) is a division of Power Media and Entertainment Group. They publish a book within 2 weeks from the date of submission of the manuscript.

Almost perfect: A breakthrough in superlens development

Almost perfect: A breakthrough in superlens development
2012-01-09
A superlens would let you see a virus in a drop of blood and open the door to better and cheaper electronics. It might, says Durdu Guney, make ultra-high-resolution microscopes as commonplace as cameras in our cell phones. No one has yet made a superlens, also known as a perfect lens, though people are trying. Optical lenses are limited by the nature of light, the so-called diffraction limit, so even the best won't usually let us see objects smaller than 200 nanometers across, about the size of the smallest bacterium. Scanning electron microscopes can capture objects ...

Fit females make more daughters, mighty males get grandsons

2012-01-09
Females influence the gender of their offspring so they inherit either their mother's or grandfather's qualities. 'High-quality' females – those which produce more offspring – are more likely to have daughters. Weaker females, whose own fathers were stronger and more successful, produce more sons. The study, by scientists at the University of Exeter (UK), Okayama University and Kyushu University (Japan), is published today (9 January) in the journal Ecology Letters. It shows for the first time that females are able to manipulate the sex of their offspring to compensate ...

These were broken into three groups. Eighty-two patients with CVS were randomly matched with 82 patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) based on age, gender and geographic referral region. ...
