MARLTON, NJ, January 16, 2012 (Press-News.org) Cable financial news network CNBC has selected Anthony Mongeluzo entrepreneur and president of Pro Computer Service, to be included on their Top Ten Serial Entrepreneur list http://www.cnbc.com/id/45741019?slide=, which also includes Oprah Winfrey and Richard Branson.
CNBC defines a serial entrepreneur as "entrepreneurs who can't seem to stop at one business and don't let failures throw them off course."
While the best-known entrepreneurs on the list, such as Branson and Winfrey, have earned billions of dollars from their ventures, for Mongeluzo, it's less about the potential for making money and more about the excitement of creating and nurturing a company.
Mongeluzo started his "first professional company," Pro Computer Service, at age 21 from his parents' home. "I had other companies in my teenage years," says Mongeluzo, who remains president and CEO of the Marlton, N.J., information technology firm. PCS has gained recognition as one of the fastest-growing companies regionally and nationally and has more than $5 million in annual revenue, 25 employees and offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
Since starting PCS, Mongeluzo, 31, has formed several other companies, including application developer pilotLight studios, real estate firms Monge Realty LLC and Pro Realty LLC, and voice and data concern Dynamic Telecom Solutions. In 2011, he bought into Agency Telecommunications, a Bellmawr, N.J., phone systems and VOIP company.
Mongeluzo, who is president of pilotLight and Monge and wholly owns most of the companies he founded, says that his strategy has been to fill needs that others aren't filling. "My goal with all of the businesses is to grow, create more jobs and provide national services. I plan on personally being involved for many years to come."
Mongeluzo loves the business world, and he proved it by starting two separate companies in different industries that made the exclusive South Jersey 25 and Philadelphia 100 lists of fastest- growing companies in the region. Recently, Inc. magazine recognized Mongeluzo's Pro Computer Service as the 179th fastest-growing IT company in the United States for growth of 184 percent in the last three years and placed as the 11th fastest-growing company in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland, according to Inc.
Mongeluzo lives in Marlton, N.J., and holds a bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) in business administration with a specialization in management information systems from Rowan University. He is President of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia (EFGP)

Predicting the value of indexing symptoms for ovarian cancer
2012-01-16
The use of symptom indices to identify patients with symptoms associated with ovarian cancer who may need further screening is increasing in both the UK and the US in an attempt to promote earlier diagnosis, but they may need to be reassessed in order to help better detect cancer, according to a study published January 13 in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
Ovarian cancer is a disease which is perceived to rarely produce symptoms until the disease has spread to other organs of the body, allowing the disease to reach an advanced stage before it is caught. ...

According to the Australian National Insect Collection researcher responsible for officially 'describing' the fly as Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae, CSIRO's Bryan Lessard, the fly's spectacular gold colour makes it the "all time diva of flies".
"It was the unique dense golden hairs on the fly's abdomen that led ...
The current crisis follows the same patterns as in 1991
2012-01-16
A study at the University of Alcalá, Spain has compared the employment crisis of 1991-1994 with the current crisis from 2007 to 2010, as well as the labour reforms that took place in 1994 and 2010 respectively. Its results show that both the evolution of labour market indicators and the response of financial authorities have been quite similar in terms of timing and the design of measures.

High-speed CMOS sensors provide better images
2012-01-16
CMOS image sensors have long since been the solution of choice for digital photography. They are much cheaper to produce than existing sensors, and they are also superior in terms of power consumption and handling. Consequently, leading manufacturers of cell-phone and digital cameras fit CMOS chips in their products almost without exception. This not only reduces the demands made of the battery, it also makes increasingly smaller cameras possible.
