Nine Masts Capital Invests in New IP Trading Solution from IFS

Leading Hong Kong Hedge Fund selects ipONE voice trading platform to increase Trader productivity

2012-03-27
SINGAPORE, March 27, 2012 (Press-News.org) Infinet Financial Systems (IFS) has been selected by Nine Masts Capital as the supplier of a new fully IP-based voice trading system for its trading room in Central, Hong Kong.

As part of Nine Mast Capital expansion and relocation project, the company reviewed their voice trading requirements with a view to increase the level of functionality available and to establish a platform for future growth.

"We were looking for a way to enhance our interface with our brokers while streamlining our overall communication system. We evaluated a wide variety of options and found the Infinet solution superior to those in the marketplace," said Elaine Davis COO of Nine Masts Capital. "The Infinet system allows us to connect directly to our trading partners and provides enhanced features for our global communication platform. The infrastructure cost was minimal and the integration with our local carrier went smoothly. The small footprint of the turret is ideal for an active trading desk and the capability of the system will meet our needs as we continue to grow."

The IFS solution at Nine Masts is being managed by Integra-IT, the leading provider of outsourced IT services in Hong Kong. Integra-IT has been providing the IT support for Nine Masts since their establishment in Hong Kong and has project managed their recent expansion and relocation.

"Adding IFS solutions to our portfolio is a natural extension of our services. It allows us to provide a one-stop voice and data solution for our Hedge-Fund clients," commented Leon Carrington, CEO, Integra-IT. "We will be able to replicate this same model of implementation and support throughout our existing and future clients."

"I am delighted that Nine Masts Capital selected ipONE for their voice trading platform," added Philip Riseley, MD of IFS APAC. "To date Hedge Funds have found it a challenge to invest in a Dealerboard platform and often accept a PBX system for voice trading with its inherent limitations. The ipONE platform however, brings a small footprint, feature rich solution and affordable pricing. The ipONE platform can support a complete front and back office voice solution, including Dealerboard, PBX and Voice Recording making it an ideal proposition for Hedge Funds, Banks and Securities firms. We are also delighted to have an alliance with Integra-IT, enabling us to provide a first class delivery model for our products."
