SIOUX CITY, IA, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Tip Top Tux has awarded five area high school students with a college Scholarship. The five recipients were chosen from over 200 applicants based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and volunteer service in their community.
The five recipients are:
- Tyler Hummel, Yankton High School, Yankton, SD
- Atimma Eyo, Technical High School, St. Cloud, MN
- Christopher Waind, Red River High School, Grand Forks, ND
- Nicholas Hofmeyer, East High School, Sioux City, IA
- Matthew Buescher, Lincoln Pius X, Lincoln, NE
Each recipient was presented with a scholarship for $500. Tip Top Tux developed the scholarship program as a way to give back to the community and promote education to local high school seniors. Every graduating senior had the opportunity to apply for one of five $500 College Scholarships.
Tip Top Tux stands by its commitment to give back to the community.
