MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Since March 202, Mark Bradley and Marilyn Bradley, Mississauga podiatrists/chiropodists, has been incorporating Pedigait High Speed Digital Video Gait Analysis to their clinical biomechanical examinations at Brantford Podiatry and Mississauga Podiatry. Initially, Mark and Marilyn Bradley will be providing this service free of charge as they complete clinical trials, which have already proven to be invaluable in several unexpected ways.

The enhanced effect of the Mississauga gait analysis tool has further expanded the understanding of individuals' gait and anomalies. With the new gait analysis in Mississauga, Mark and Marilyn Bradley, in addition to their clinical assistants, four high-speed digital video cameras capture every angle with extreme clarity. The video footage is then stored in a file that enables them to review it at the end of the day, frame by frame, or in slow motion. Additionally, they can apply overlying grids for further investigation, draw lines to measure symmetry, and apply land markers to body locations.
The PediGait system can also be utilized to perform comparisons on the same subject from different captures, such as pre and post-surgery, post orthotic intervention, post footwear change, and following orthotic modification. This tool can ultimately be utilized to provide quantifiable measures of these interventions and, in the long run, allow Mark and Marilyn Bradley to make even better treatment recommendations, such as Mississauga orthotics, for their patients based on actual results.

In 2009, the VA notified more than 10,000 veterans that they may have been exposed to hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV while undergoing colonoscopies at Veterans Affairs facilities. The VA said the exposure risk stemmed from improper cleaning of the tools used to perform the procedures.
