Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath Makes Kriya Yoga the Centerpiece of New Tour

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath has embarked on a major world tour, following the release of a well-received new book--and he is making the lost art of kriya yoga the centerpiece of the tour.

2012-07-03
NEW YORK, NY, July 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) There are only a handful of kriya yoga masters left in the world, but one of them, Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath, seems intent on doing enough teaching and mentoring for ten. For more than four decades, the master has traveled the world, illuminating the practice of kriya yoga and expounding on his familiar mantra of "Earth peace through self peace." Now, Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath is bringing his teachings to a wider audience than ever before, embarking on a major world tour that will take him from India through Europe and many major U.S. markets. His insight into kriya yoga will be the central theme of the entire tour.

Kriya yoga is little known in the West, and is very different from the more "westernized" form of yoga that is practiced in the United States. While many Americans associate yoga with stretching and physical fitness, kriya is a more rigorous, spiritually rooted form, one that often takes a lifetime to master.

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath has taught the precepts of kriya yoga for the entirety of his decades-long career, a career that began in the Himalayas but has since taken him all over the world. In that time, he has taught from the floor of the United Nations, and even developed a popular YouTube channel for his teachings. Most recently, Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath has released a well-received new book, called Babaji: The Lightning Standing Still, which delves deep into his thoughts on kriya yoga. The master calls the book his "life's work."

The book is also the impetus for the expansive new world tour, which began earlier in the summer but will run through the end of the season and into the fall, with many dates remaining in the United States.

These remaining tour dates will find Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath teaching American audiences about the specific practices of kriya yoga. He will provide insight into the Babaji book, but the tour is ultimately much more than a conventional book tour. It will feature several multi-day teaching sessions, including rigorous yoga workshops and seminars.

Additional information about the tour, including a calendar of the remaining dates, can be located at Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath's website, http://www.siddhanath.org. The website also provides registration details, plus information about the new book, the author, and the practice known as kriya yoga.
