STOWE, VT, July 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) Serenity Caregiver Coaching, a caregiver support and coaching service based in Stowe, Vermont, is pleased to announce the addition of a six week coaching program. Slated to begin on Monday, August 13, 2012, the course aims to provide caregivers with an array of skills and techniques intended to help them better deal with the stresses associated with the job they perform as well as the stresses of their daily lives. The program will take place in the company's Stowe office and is being offered at a price of $120 per 6 week session.
Serenity Caregiver Coaching offers a range of products including both group and one on one sessions, as well as both in person and phone support. Services can be tailored to the needs of the individual and include an array of mindfulness techniques as well as other techniques and methods designed to lower stress levels and increase relaxation by helping clients with goal setting, decision making, and learning how to utilize their natural strengths. The company, run by caregiver Stephanie Spaulding, works to help the growing population of caregivers learn how to reduce the stresses of their jobs and experience a better balance between their careers and their individual needs.
Serenity Caregiver Coaching was founded after its creator realized the need for such services during her own role as family caregiver. "As a family caregiver", states Spaulding, "I understand the stresses that caregivers face on a day to day basis. It is essential for caregivers to learn coping techniques to get themselves through the day. I've learned how to make the caregiving journey a more positive one. It is my hope to provide more individualized support to family caregivers, as I feel the resources for this are currently quite limited."
Caregivers interested in attending this program or in learning more about Serenity Caregiver Coaching are invited to visit http://www.serenitycaregivercoaching.com or to contact Stephanie directly by calling (802) 448-0879 or via email at stephanie@serenitycaregivercoaching.com

New Jersey Rethinks Marijuana Law as Tides Shift in the War on Drugs
After four decades, 46 million arrests and $1.5 trillion in spending, America's "war on drugs" appears to have made little progress, according to a recent news report by The Daily Journal. The rate of drug addiction in the U.S. is holding stead today at 1.3 percent of the population, according to a quote from former New Jersey police lieutenant Jack Cole, which is the same as it was in when the war on drugs began in 1970 -- as well as nearly a century ago in 1914.
