BUFFALO, NY, July 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) A Buffalo, NY based company encountered major payroll tax problems earlier this year, resulting in a difficult situation with the Internal Revenue Service.
A representative from the company stated that "their tax situation was a confusing one," and that "it had become a burden."
The company then hired Buffalo IRS tax attorney William Winspear to handle their case. Winspear recently opened his own law practice after years of working with a prominent tax law firm and 17 years as an IRS revenue officer.

The IRS uses enforced collection when it deals with unpaid payroll taxes and/or unfilled company payroll returns. Enforced Collection can mean a levy on business assets like accounts receivable, equipment, company vehicles and bank accounts. In many cases, enforced collection action can cause the business to shut down.
If the business closes the IRS will come after the business owner for collection of taxes and any penalties and interest still owed. If the company is a corporation, the IRS will go after the person who is responsible for the payroll taxes to try to collect the trust funds. This is also known as the Trust Fund Recovery Penalty.
