Global Food Technologies Possesses Solution to China's Food Safety Regulation Needs

In an effort to curb food safety incidents, China has rolled out a five-year food safety plan aimed at enhancing and enforcing food safety regulations. Global Food Technologies possesses the operational and technological insight to assist China.

2012-07-20
NEW YORK, NY, July 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) Due to a series of food safety incidents, including the discovery of elevated levels of mercury in baby formula, the country of China has found itself on the receiving end of consumer fears. These several food safety issues have decreased global confidence in products manufactured in China, which will ultimately create a negative impact on the Chinese food export industry if problems are not addressed promptly. In an effort to do so, the Chinese government has launched a five-year plan aimed at improving and enforcing food safety regulations. Global Food Technologies, an international food safety solution company, has the operational and technological insight necessary to assist Chinese officials in creating and enforcing up-to-date regulations.

The Chinese government released a statement claiming that, while it does have food safety regulations in place, they were drafted by several agencies and need to be reconciled: "Many of the regulations are overlapping or contradict each other, since multiple government agencies were given the responsibility of compiling their own standards years ago."

These standards number nearly 5,000 and are made up of 2,000 national food regulations and over 2,900 industry-based regulations. To reconcile these guidelines, 14 government departments will coordinate to review and revise these regulations. These departments, which include the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, aim to have this project complete by the year 2015.

To achieve such a monumental undertaking, the government has strategized to address certain safety regulations first, such as those associated with dairy, baby food, vegetable oil, additives, alcohol, meat, and seasoning. Additionally, the government has allocated resources to test contaminants, additives, and other substances throughout the food production process.

Global Food Technologies has already created a standard for such testing. In fact, the constant quality control and safety measures that Global Food Technologies enforces, has set its operational procedures apart from the rest of the food safety industry. Global Food Technologies has pioneered a proprietary system that enhances the taste, quality, and safety of food while minimizing the risk of foodborne illness.

Global Food Technologies hopes that the Chinese food industry will recognize the value that its proprietary "organic" system holds. Through its efforts, the company knows that it can assist the Chinese food safety industry in upholding stricter regulations.

ABOUT:

Global Food Technologies utilizes proprietary operational processes to provide on-site food safety procedures. Through its technology, the company enhances the taste, safety, and quality (safety, quality & taste- safety first) of seafood. Global Food Technologies is an international organization that aims to decrease food poisoning cases, thus improving the health of families around the world.

Summer for Students

2012-07-20
University is expensive. The National Union of Students puts average annual living costs at around GBP16,000 a year - and that's excluding fees, which are set to rise to as much as GBP9,000 per year from this September. It's hardly surprising, then, that so many students are forced to work during the summer holidays or part-time during the academic term to support themselves financially. And in difficult economic times, when jobs are hard to come by, most student workers can't afford to be too picky. Typical employment often includes manning a supermarket check-out, ...
