LINDEN, MI, August 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) Today the Michigan-based consultancy, Covente, LLC, announced the promotion of Bryan Christiansen to the positions of Chairman and CEO. Acting as president of the company since late 2006, Christiansen brings 27 years' of international business experience to his new positions.
Covente's primary focus is on developing marketing and sales activities for middle-sized organizations around the world in the following target industries: Aircraft, Defense, Education, Energy, Export / Import, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Medical Equipment. Covente has a Regional Office in Istanbul, Turkey, and is now establishing satellite offices in Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Poland, and the Ukraine. "We have selected these countries because of their business potential in our target industries", said Christiansen.
Covente has engaged in numerous projects since its founding in 2006. The first one was with Xionics, S.A., in Costa Rica, a technology implementation and optimization firm that operated throughout Central America. Others have included creating and implementing a successful marketing plan to uncover qualified sales leads for software companies operating throughout the Former Soviet Union, a University-Industry Collaboration Outreach program for Turkish universities wishing to help local firms develop markets outside Turkey, and a project to provide alternative energy sources to Eastern Europe.
"Our business model is solid because many firms still lack understanding how to develop sustainable new business in major markets even within their own territories", said Dmitry Kolganov, Covente's new president. Kolganov had been working as Covente's Vice President of Marketing until this month.
An MBA graduate of Capella University in Minnesota, Christiansen is now completing work on his Doctor of Business Administration degree in International Business at Walden University in Maryland. He is fluent in Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish, and has significant exposure to Russian and Turkish. Christiansen has published a book titled, "Cultural Variations and Business Performance: Contemporary Globalism", and a second one due in June, 2013 titled, "Cultural and Technological Influences on Global Business" is an advanced version of the first.
