NEW YORK, NY, August 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Radiesse is a soft-tissue filler used to reverse some of the symptoms of facial aging, such as hollows under the eyes and nasolabial folds, also called parenthesis lines, around the mouth. What Is Radiesse?

Advantages of Radiesse
Radiesse is a nonsurgical procedure, requires no anesthesia and can be performed over a lunch break. The procedure is completely reversible, but the results can be very long-lasting. Most patients see results lasting more than a year, and many see them lasting two years or more.
Disadvantages of Radiesse
Although anesthesia is not necessary, the thicker gel and microspheres combination can cause patients discomfort during injection. It can also lead to significant swelling that may take weeks to resolve. In addition, because the microspheres lead to an irregular shape and contour, Radiesse is generally only suited to injection in deep tissue, and cannot be used where the skin is thin, such as in the lips.
In addition, Radiesse cannot be used to treat dynamic wrinkles that are treated by BOTOX Cosmetic, such as crows' feet or forehead lines.
