Disadvantages of Radiesse
Although anesthesia is not necessary, the thicker gel and microspheres combination can cause patients discomfort during injection. In addition, because the microspheres lead to an irregular shape and contour, Radiesse is generally only suited to injection in deep tissue, and cannot be used where the skin is thin, such as in the lips.
