Icard Merrill Attorney Michael Foreman Is Presenter At Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Seminar

"Non-springing Health Care Powers" Is Subject During Continuing Education Session Focusing On Drafting Powers of Attorney

Michael Foreman, attorney at Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A., recently participated and co-chaired in a live and webcast presentation sponsored by The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee and its Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. The live presentation took place at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Those attending the seminar were able to earn credits to be applied toward their Florida CLER/Certification requirements.

The half-day seminar was titled "Drafting Powers of Attorney - What Works? It's All in the Eye of the Beholder". In his presentation, Mr. Foreman discussed the merits of drafting a non-springing versus a springing power of attorney as it's related to the formal determination of an individual's incapacity. In addition to Mr. Foreman's presentation, other sessions on Elder Law, Title Insurance, Estate Planning Powers and Mandatory and Default Rules were conducted by members of Florida's legal and financial communities.

Mr. Foreman is a shareholder, former president and administrator of Icard Merrill and has practiced law since 1969.
