Campbell Law School Interim Dean Faulkner Appointed To Downtown Raleigh Alliance Board

Keith Faulkner To Serve On Board Of Directors For 2012

2012-09-15
RALEIGH, NC, September 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Campbell Law School (http://law.campbell.edu) has announced that Interim Dean Keith Faulkner has been appointed to serve on the Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA) Board of Directors for 2012. Faulkner stands as the second administrator from Campbell Law to participate on the DRA board, following professor and former dean Melissa Essary, who served from 2009 to 2011.

A leader and champion for a dynamic and vibrant downtown, the DRA is a guiding force in shaping a healthy center that anchors the city and the region. A not-for-profit organization, the DRA builds private-public partnerships to address issues facing downtown Raleigh and manages downtown's Municipal Services District. The DRA's dedicated board and staff focus on providing economic development, advocacy, marketing, and clean and safe ambassador services. Visit the DRA website for more information at http://www.GoDowntownRaleigh.com.

Extremely active in the legal profession, Faulkner serves on many boards and on many bar related committees that include the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar Annual Questionnaire Committee, North Carolina Bar Association's Professionalism Committee, the Wake County Bar Association's Professionalism and Public Service Committees, and the North Carolina Prisoner Legal Services Board, where he serves as treasurer.

QUOTE:
"It is an honor to serve on the Downtown Raleigh Alliance board," said Faulkner. "Campbell Law is proud to be a partner in the growing downtown Raleigh community, and I look forward to working with an accomplished group of local leaders in helping to continue to move this great city forward."

"We are proud to add another fine leader to our board," said DRA President and CEO David Diaz. "Keith oversees an organization that is such a valuable asset to downtown's economy and quality of life. Campbell Law's graduates go on to work in downtown's premier law firms, which helps us in our goal to grow the job base of Raleigh's central business district. Additionally, some of their law students have rented or purchased a place to live in downtown, which means more customers for our merchants and enhances our appeal as a livable downtown."
