Career Step Named 2013 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs Magazine

Career Step has been named as a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine for the third consecutive year, placing it among the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools.

2012-09-20
PROVO, UT, September 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) Career Step, an online school offering career-focused education, has been named as a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine for the third consecutive year. Career Step earned a place on the 2013 list compiled by the magazine by placing among the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to ensure the success of military service members, veterans, and spouses.

"We are honored to be included on the 2013 Military Friendly Schools List," said Career Step CEO Steve Tober. "Our online platform provides the flexibility required for today's adult learner and especially supports those students managing the challenges of a military lifestyle. For the third straight year, this recognition is testament to the time and effort our faculty and staff dedicate to serving our military students."

The 2013 Military Friendly Schools list was compiled by G.I. Jobs magazine through research and data-driven analysis of surveys from more than 12,000 schools nationwide. The schools were evaluated on the level of support provided to military students, and the institutions that made the list exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience as well as military dependants. The Military Friendly Schools list is available online with a number of interactive tools designed to make it easy for military students to compare institutions.

"The military community remains a high priority for Career Step," said Tim Reynolds, Career Step Military Liaison. "Our longstanding presence on the Military Friendly Schools list, our participation in the U.S. Department of Defense's Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), and our work to better serve those using MyCAA and military tuition assistance funding demonstrate our efforts to serve this community that has sacrificed so much."

Career Step offers a number of career-focused programs in the healthcare, administration, and technology industries. The school has over 20 years of experience helping students gain the skills necessary to start successful careers in a year or less, making it an excellent choice for military members and their spouses. The school's courses incorporate input from industry experts, employers, and associations to ensure that students gain the relevant knowledge and skills required by employers. Career Step's programs are offered entirely online, allowing students to study at a pace and on a schedule that fits each individual's unique lifestyle.
