Online Educational Programs Thriving-Virtual Assistant Programs Leading the Way
2012-10-12
O'FALLON, IL, October 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Colleges are changing and for the better. No longer are four-year programs the norm and no longer is physically going to classes a requirement. That's right, online education is taking over as more and more colleges are seeing the potential to reach students and allow them to study right from the comforts of their own homes. In fact, according to a recent article in Mashable, online education is a $34 billion industry, with more and more students finding new life and career education opportunities online. Not only is it more affordable, it's more convenient.

One program that is especially thriving in the online education industry is colleges, trade and vocational programs offering virtual assistant programs. A virtual assistant program, among other things, teaches the basics of what is a virtual assistant, how they can benefit clients, the skills required, determining a niche, how to get clients, and many associated software programs. The VA Industry is thriving and now students can now take their administrative businesses virtual to work for clients around the globe.

And perhaps the best known for leading the way into the Virtual Assistant Programs is the dynamic team of Kelly Poelker (Another8Hours.com) and Diana Ennen (VirtualWordPublishing.com), co-authors of the best-selling book, Virtual Assistant - The Series: Become a Highly Successful, Sought After VA (www.va-theseries.com). They have been providing colleges since 2004 with not only their virtual assistant books and workbooks, but also a 16-week syllabus to help colleges develop their own online training programs. In fact, they are currently in over 40 colleges throughout the United States and Canada.

"The students find the training invaluable," says Randi Tucker Hart, instructor at Raymond Walters College at the University of Cincinnati. Tom Smerk, an instructor for colleges in the San Diego, CA area, who has been teaching a Virtual Assistant Program both online and lecture since 2006 had this to say, "I have taught the Virtual Assistant course many times, both lecture and online, for two different college districts in the San Diego area, and have found that the layout of the chapters and the length of the book is ideal for a 16-18 week college semester. I will recommend this book without hesitation to any college or business school desiring to offer such a course."

To learn more about how your college could benefit by offering a Virtual Assistant Program or to speak directly with the authors, contact at authors@vatheseries.com http://www.VA-TheSeries.com. The authors are also available for online guest speaking engagements at the colleges or business gatherings.
