PARIO, INC. Sponsors Wounded Warrior Horsemanship Events

Over 900 attendees enjoyed the October Wounded Warrior Horsemanship Event, which hosts free events for Soldiers, Veterans and their families at Ft. Benning, GA.

2012-10-12
ATLANTA, GA, October 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Atlanta- based PARIO, INC., an award-winning interactive communications and learning company, has signed on as a major sponsor of the Wounded Warrior Horsemanship Events. These free events are organized by Warrior Outreach, Inc., a non-profit organization providing opportunities for all Soldiers, Veterans, and their families to interact with horses while achieving long-term individual and family success. PARIO, a company that has been proudly serving our United States Military and their families for over nine years, is privileged to be part of these events.

As a first time sponsor, PARIO will be providing meals, beverages, and volunteers onsite, in addition to their continuing monetary support, at the October 6, 2012 event which was held at Weatherby Field, Fort Benning, GA, from 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Participants were able to receive riding instructions and witness demonstrations in grooming techniques, saddle and tack procedures, and use of proper terminology. Those that attended came away from the experience refreshed, confident, and educated— outcomes that PARIO firmly believes in and practices in their own personal and professional lives.

"We are very excited to be a sponsor of this outstanding program," says Carolyn Cole, Founder and CEO of PARIO, INC. "Much of our work at PARIO is about creating memorable communication and learning experiences that emphasize the concepts of resilience, situational awareness, and risk management for Soldiers. Most importantly, we demonstrate how to put those concepts in motion on a daily basis-- not just down range, but in everyday life. We develop creative ways to reinforce how these Soldiers and their families can become stronger mentally, emotionally, socially, as well as physically, especially during times of adversity when coping skills are critical to achieving positive outcomes. Being a sponsor of the Wounded Warrior Horsemanship Program is a natural extension of this philosophy. It's another delivery channel we can utilize to help communicate and educate Soldiers and their families about resilience. It's also a great way to give back and show our gratitude to those who have sacrificed so much to serve our country. What we find unique about this program is that many of us at PARIO are horse enthusiasts ourselves, so when one couples that fact with our deep appreciation for and extensive experience working with Soldiers and their families, this mission is just perfect for us! PARIO is all about bringing forth outcomes that make a difference, and that's exactly what we'll continue to do."

"Carolyn and her staff clearly recognize the importance of helping our Soldiers, Veterans, and their families, and we greatly appreciate their support," explains Samuel M. Rhodes, Sr., President/CEO Warrior Outreach, Inc. "Warrior Outreach is looking forward to partnering with PARIO for more events to help our great Warriors."

"PARIO is so fortunate to be doing the work we love to do with those people for whom we love doing it!" adds Ms. Cole. "As creative professionals, we are oftentimes honored for our work through industry awards and accolades that we share with our military clients. But as fellow human beings and Americans, we are honored every single day to serve those who give up so much to serve us. That's what makes our work so meaningful and this program so personal to the entire PARIO team. In some small way, we are doing our part to make a difference in the lives of others. It's what inspires us to constantly strive to do better, work harder, push farther, and be more resilient, no matter what the circumstances. These are life lessons for all of us."

Serious Penalties Come With a Rhode Island DUI Drivers caught driving drunk by the Rhode Island State Police in 2010 had a lot of company. State police made 449 DUI arrests, the most in the state. City police in Warwick came in second, with 328 DUI arrests. A representative from Rhode Island Mothers Against Drunk Driving remarked that Warwick has made it a priority to crack down on DUI, so it comes as no surprise that its city police made so many arrests. The fine will be $150 for each of the first two violations, but a third citation within 18 months means that possession will become a misdemeanor criminal ...

Unfortunately, as anyone who has been in an accident knows, dealing with the crash involves more than just recuperating. You must also deal with insurance companies and the cost of medical expenses and lost wages. First Steps After an Accident The following first steps apply to milder accidents that occur on relatively safe roadways. ...
