About Virginia Medical Acute Care (VMAC): Dr. Mark Davis became one of the country's first board certified specialists in Emergency Medicine in 1983. Working alongside Dr. Davis is Dr. Monica Zink, who was born in England, but is proud to claim joint citizenship in the United States. Her career began over 25 years ago as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Medicine.
