Naples Dentist Receives Dental Implants Fellowship

Dr. Jeffrey Skupny is proud to have been awarded a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

NAPLES, FL, October 25, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Jeffrey Skupny, dentist in Naples, Fl, has recently been honored with a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. The Fellowship recognizes Dr. Skupny as a skilled implant dentist.

"I am very excited to be honored with this Fellowship. I am highly trained in dental implants and I believe they are the best option to replace a lost tooth. I look forward to continuing to treat my patients with dental implants in the future," said Dr. Skupny, Naples dentist.

To achieve the Fellowship, Dr. Skupny had to meet a few requirements. He had to present at least 20 successfully completed implants to the ICOI. In addition, Dr. Skupny had to complete at least 75 hours of continuing education courses related to dental implants. A letter of recommendation and curriculum vitae are also required.

Dental implant are replacement tooth roots that are directly attached to a patient's jawbone. Once installed, a dental implant acts as an anchor for a replacement crown. Once an implant is installed, it can last a very long time, in some cases an entire lifetime.
