Healthcare Education Strategies, Inc. Announces New Executive Vice President

Sharon McGee, MS, RHIA, joins HES as Executive Vice President.

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA, October 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) HES today announced the appointment of SHARON CHATMAN MCGEE as Executive Vice President.

"We are excited about Sharon joining our team" says Jean Ann Hartzell-Minzey, President and CEO; "she brings a new level of expertise to our organization. In addition, to having excellent HIM credentials, she has been an Adjunct Professor for Southern University at New Orleans and the University of New Orleans."

Healthcare Education Strategies, Inc. is a company which stresses the continued education of coding professionals, compliance officers and physicians. For over thirty years, HES has been a primary education source for the Louisiana Hospital Association and the Mississippi Hospital Association.

Ms. McGee is joining the staff on October 29th after a career that has most recently included serving as the Director of Corporate Integrity & Privacy Officer for Ochsner Health System.

"I have known and worked with Jean Ann for many years and now is the right time for me to join her team," said McGee. "With the conversion to ICD 10 and the emphasis on Compliance, my skills will be useful to HES and its clients. I am excited about the future of the company as well as helping all of the HIM Directors in coping with the conversions and compliance."
