RALEIGH, NC, October 27, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced its partnership with The John Avery Boys & Girls Club of Durham for the "Cakes for Kids" program. Once a month, The Chef's Academy's pastry students and instructors will bake and deliver a special cake to help the children celebrate their birthdays. The program, which launched with its first birthday cake delivery in August, allows for The Chef's Academy's students to help provide excitement, fun and a tasty treat to children who might not be able to celebrate otherwise, and gives the pastry students a unique opportunity to sharpen and enhance their culinary techniques.
