PASADENA, CA, November 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Meridian Rapid Defense Group was awarded a contract and delivered their patented Archer 1200 rapid deployment vehicle barriers to Kandahar Airfield.
Kandahar Airfield has been maintained by NATO under the International Security Assistance (ISAF) banner since 2006 and is a key logistics hub used by NATO forces in Afghanistan. It is now one of the busiest single-use airports in the world.
The Archer 1200 anti-ram vehicle barriers are configured for expedited deployment and as needed, retrieval and relocation. The Archer barriers are modular and can be deployed in a straight line, in rows, in serpentine configuration as a main perimeter security system or in support of an area that requires maintenance.
"With climactic conditions varying around the world, Meridian's products are ideal for many situations as they perform under all conditions of extreme cold and heat," says Peter D. Whitford, CEO of Meridian.
Meridian's portable vehicle barriers are modular and are adjusted to the varying needs of the military, government, ports, dams, water treatment facilities, oil & gas facilities, universities and the police. All Archer vehicle barriers are made of ballistic rated steel and are an excellent deterrent against Vehicle Born Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIED). Meridian's portable vehicle barriers can be deployed by one person without the use of heavy lifting equipment. All of Meridian's products are made in the USA and are distributed worldwide.
Meridian Rapid Defense Group develops anti-vehicle barrier systems that are engineered for speed of deployment. The flexibility of the system allows tactical or military forces to quickly secure politically, economically or environmentally important sites for short and long durations. HMO/Managed Care and Medical Malpractice
2012-11-02
Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) and other types of managed healthcare plans were established to help patients save money on their medical costs and avoid unnecessary expenses. Unfortunately, because of efforts to stay cost-effective, the plans' quality of care often suffers. If an HMO refuses coverage to a patient when it was obligated to provide it, or if a patient is injured because of a negligent HMO doctor, this is grounds to pursue a medical malpractice case.
Negligence in HMO / Managed Care
HMOs are prone to medical negligence far too often. There are ...

Diet and Cellulite
2012-11-02
Cellulite can affect any woman, no matter what size her body. In fact, it is estimated that as many as 90 percent of women have or will develop cellulite at some point in their life.

Once it has developed, there is little that can be done outside of procedures such as liposuction or Cellulaze to remove it. However, steps taken prior to its appearance may help prevent it, and steps taken after a cellulite treatment may help prevent it from coming back.
