Montlick & Associates Reviews New Accident Prevention Technology

Nissan is currently working on new technologies to make help make auto accidents a thing of the past--and the company's initiatives have won the attention of Montlick & Associates.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, November 12, 2012

Auto accidents have been around for as long as automobiles themselves, but one car company is seeking to make these risks a thing of the past. According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, the Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan is hard at work on a variety of new technologies, which it hopes will make auto accidents less common than ever before. In fact, the lofty goal set by Nissan is to render car accidents a thing of the past--an ambitious undertaking that has garnered the attention of Montlick & Associates.

A leading personal injury firm from the Georgia area, Montlick & Associates reviews reports like this one on a regular basis, and encourages companies that make highway safety a priority. With a reputation for always serving accident victims, never insurance companies or corporations, Montlick & Associates reviews many cases involving auto, pedestrian, and motorcycle accidents in and around the City of Atlanta and the entire State of Georgia and the Southeast.

Montlick & Associates has issued a press statement in response to the Wall Street Journal feature. "Montlick & Associates applauds the efforts that are being made with new technology to make cars more crashworthy, and more importantly to help prevent a collision from ever happening in the first place," says David R. Montlick, who founded the firm. "The use of the laser scanners, which Nissan is working on, could represent another leap forward."

Montlick goes on to note some other advances in vehicle safety technology. "One technology that is not talked about that much, which I personally find to be very helpful, is the heads up display, as your eyes no longer have to leave the road to read the speedometer and other critical information; these things are displayed in the windshield."

According to the Wall Street Journal report, Nissan is working on several new technologies to improve the safety of its vehicles.

One example is a steering wheel, which does not shake or vibrate--even when the vehicle is on a bumpy road or hazardous terrain. Additionally, Nissan is working on a sensor that causes the vehicle to automatically swerve out of the way when a pedestrian jumps in front of it.

Though these new safety measures may seem futuristic, the Journal reports, Nissan plans to unveil them "in the near future."

Montlick & Associates reviews a variety of cases related to highway safety, and seeks to provide personal and passionate representation to those involved in accidents, or to the family members of those involved in accidents.
