UK Gaming Site Shortlisted for Prestigious Affiliate Award

The popular UK gaming site, Low Risk Winner, has seen its third year of business being recognised in a great fashion, having been nominated for and short listed for best newcomer affiliate at the prestigious iGB affiliate awards.

2013-01-12
January 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Low Risk Winner, a popular UK Gaming site, created by two web masters in the July 2010, has received a huge recognition of its position in the industry, by being nominated for and short-listed in the iGB Affiliate awards.

Low Risk Winner is an online gaming site, initially designed to be the best place for people to compare betting offers. However, it quickly grew to offer sports news, casino offers and poker, bingo and games promotions too. Their unique navigation path and easy to use layout, makes them stand out from the crowd.

The iGB affiliate awards are operated by iGaming Business, a company which has been around for over eight years, proving vital information and published material regarding the internet gaming sector. At the beginning of the year, iGB hosts its own unique awards ceremony in London, with over twenty categories. Low Risk Winner was fortunate enough to receive nominations for Best Sports affiliate, Best Newcomer affiliate and Best Overall affiliate.

Once the nomination period is through, the nominations are put out to vote, and Lowriskwinner.com was eventually shortlisted for the Best newcomer affiliate. The 2013 iGB awards ceremony is being held on the 8th of February 2013, at The Brewery in London.

Ryan Sheader, co-owner of Low Risk Winner, had this to say "It is a truly an amazing thought that we have taken an idea through to creation, and having put a load of blood, sweat and tears in, it feels good when you learn that your work may potentially become an award winner. So I am looking forward to attending the award in February, as win or lose, it's sure to be a good night. I shall be attending with the guys from Coral bookmakers too, which is an honour in itself. They are certainly a brand to be respected, and we have seen a huge improvement in business since the new GBP50 Coral free bet was rolled out. I just can't wait, I am alive with excitement"

It's comforting in the current economic climate that somebody can go from creating a money making website, and take it through the stages, on to be an award winner. In today's society, where we are trying to actively encourage business and investment, this can only serve to entice other potential young entrepreneurs too.

Texas Cities Institute Texting Bans While State Drags Its Feet

2013-01-12
Getting distracted driving legislation passed into law in Texas has been an upward struggle. The state's culture of personal liberty has stymied efforts by state legislators to enact a texting while driving ban for all motorists. Now, municipalities across the state are taking the matter into their own hands and seeking to lower the number of Texas distracted driver accidents by passing city ordinances banning texting while driving for adults. Some cities have even banned all handheld cellphone use while behind the wheel. Current Texas distracted driving laws are ...

A new crash test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety measured the performance of 18 midsize family cars, and the results were poor for some of the country's most popular vehicles. The test measured the cars' safety performance in a crash where the car hits a barrier at an angle, which is one component of the car's overall IIHS safety rating. New front corner crash test The IIHS, a nonprofit organization funded by the insurance industry, recently added the "small-overlap offset frontal crash test" to its battery of safety tests. In the small-overlap ...

2013-01-12
Most people know that it is dangerous to get behind the wheel of a car after having had too much to drink. But how many of us regularly get into our vehicles when we are tired, either from staying out too late or from not getting enough sleep the night before? Drowsy driving is much more dangerous than most people realize. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, approximately one-third of all fatal car accidents are caused, at least in part, by driver fatigue. Just like drunk drivers, drowsy drivers are less attentive, have impaired reaction ...

California Non-Competes Must be Carefully Connected to Sale of a Business

2013-01-12
If you are a California employer, how can you stop an employee from taking his or her skills or knowledge to a competitor? In general, you can't because California law prohibits non-compete agreements in most cases. However, an interesting recent case involving two non-compete agreements addressed an exception to the rule. California law generally prohibits non-compete agreements in the employment context, because the law wants to promote a policy that favors employee mobility and the right to pursue a livelihood. However, California law makes an exception to this rule ...

Minnesota Court Orders for Protection Can Interrupt Domestic Violence

2013-01-12
Americans are overwhelmed by stranger-on-stranger gun violence like the recent mass shootings in a Colorado theater and a Connecticut grade school. In October 2012, in the quiet Twin Cities suburb of Cottage Grove, a young husband with a history of terrorizing his wife shot her in a sandwich shop and then turned the gun on himself. According to kare11.com, Tensia Richard ...
