2013-01-19
As the outset of 2013, 39 states -- along with the District of Columbia and Guam -- have laws on the books banning text messaging for all drivers. Florida, however, remains the exception to the rule. Florida currently has no distracted driving law pertaining to cell phone use. What's more, the state has prohibited local jurisdictions from enacting their own distracted driving bans. Yet, the ...

Without proper estate planning, assets could go to unintended beneficiaries. If an individual makes a will, those will be the wishes that will be carried out ...

Illinois Family Law: the Basics of Spousal Maintenance

2013-01-19

Spousal maintenance is not automatically awarded, and it is different than and separate from child support. Settlement agreement Parties to a divorce may negotiate ...
