Pittsburgh Dentist Dr. Frye Discusses Possible Danger of Mercury Fillings
2013-01-23
PITTSBURGH, PA, January 23, 2013 (Press-News.org) According to a recent The Doctors episode -"Dangerous Toxins," which aired January 3rd, 2013, there may be a link between multiple sclerosis sufferers and mercury dental fillings. Pittsburgh Cosmetic Dentists, Dr. Charles Frye, and Dr. Joseph Quartuccio, of Dentonics Inc. agree saying, though there is no hard link between multiple sclerosis and mercury fillings, there is a possible risk; and because of this risk, their Pittsburgh dental office has been mercury-free for over 15 years.

According to a recent press release by International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IOAMT) Dental amalgam (silver) fillings, contain approximately 50% mercury. The IOAMT also stated mercury is one of the most toxic heavy metals on earth; and that there have been several studies linking it to neurological illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease.

"The EPA designates excess dental amalgam as hazardous material that must be disposed of as toxic waste," said Dr. Joseph Quartuccio. "I would never consider placing such a substance in my patients' mouths. The possible links to certain systemic diseases only reinforces that philosophy."

There are an estimated 2.1 million people worldwide with multiple sclerosis (MS.) MS is an autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system and affects the brain and spinal cord.

"I'd like to think that here at Dentonics we are always on the fore front in dentistry," said Pittsburgh cosmetic dentist, Dr. Frye. "There has been recent press about the mercury in dental fillings and its deleterious effects. We at Dentonics have not use mercury dental fillings in over 15 years. We truly treat our patients as family, if it's not good enough to been placed in my family's mouth, it won't be used in yours."

Since 1925, Dentonics Inc. has offered a wide range of services including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and neuromuscular dentistry. They have proudly offered mercury-free dental fillings, including tooth-colored resin fillings and porcelain fillings.

Dr. Frye belongs to several prestigious dental institutions and groups, such as: International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Dental Academy, Academy of General Dentistry, Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry and the Pittsburgh Dental Network (PDN). Dr. Frye also continues training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in the fields of functional and cosmetic dental reconstruction.

NHTSA research has found that 28 people are killed by intoxicated drivers every day in the United States, but a majority of drunken driving accidents occur over the weekend. How Wrongful Death Damages are Distributed

2013-01-23
When a family loses a loved one in an accident, more than one member will be impacted. Damages may be financial and emotional, with both short and long-term consequences, but determining what each family member is entitled to can result in discord and drive a wedge between surviving family members. Fortunately, families do not need to determine how damages will be distributed. Damages in wrongful death lawsuits are divided equally among beneficiaries according to the order of the probate court. Thinking About a "Do-it-Yourself" Divorce in Texas? Proceed With Caution

2013-01-23
The Texas Supreme Court recently approved a boilerplate form that would allow couples seeking an uncontested divorce the ability to file the paperwork themselves. The forms are similar to those offered in many other states, and are designed to primarily assist lower-income couples whose marriages have broken down. The theory is good: provide a step-by-step process where the parties can plug information into the form and walk away with a divorce decree that a family court judge would then sign and make enforceable. The execution of that idea, though, is one that is fraught ...
