Campbell Law Hosts 38th National Trial Regional Competition

Law Students Compete In Trial Practice Competition Feb. 8-10

RALEIGH, NC, January 31, 2013 (Press-News.org) B. Keith Faulkner, interim dean of Campbell Law School (http://law.campbell.edu), has announced that the school will host the 38th National Trial Regional Competition Feb. 8-10 at the Wake County Courthouse, located at 316 Fayetteville Street. The National Trial Competition was established in 1975 by the Texas Young Lawyers Association to encourage and strengthen students' advocacy skills through quality competition and valuable interaction with members of the legal field. The program is designed to expose law students to the nature of trial practice and serve as a supplement to their education.

Campbell Law will host the competition for region five, one of the 14 regions of the nation comprised of more than 175 schools. Twelve law schools will be represented at the regional competition and two of those teams will advance to the National Trial Competition in San Antonio, Texas, in April. - The twelve law schools represented at the competition include Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, Campbell Law, Charlotte School of Law, Duke University, Elon University, Emory University, Mercer University, North Carolina Central University, University of Georgia, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of South Carolina, and Wake Forest University.

- Two teams from each institution will compete.
