SCHAUMBURG, IL, February 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Douglas Neidigh, Executive Director of Energy/Sustainability at Mercy said, "The eSight Energy program will allow us to accurately track all of our utility data at each hospital and develop dashboards to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement. eSight is able to do everything we were looking for and more - from the numerous in-depth analyses and reports to the integration with ENERGY STAR."
Mercy, as the largest employer in Springfield, is also the largest consumer of utilities in the city. This project is part of an ongoing effort to be a good steward of natural resources and a good neighbor to its community.
Paul Holmes, Western Sales Executive at eSight Energy said, "We are excited to be working with Mercy to improve their energy efficiency and identify areas for savings. We knew that eSight was the perfect solution to help them in achieving their goals towards a greener and more efficient facility."
The project will begin at Mercy Hospital Springfield, and within a year roll out to all of its 31 hospitals. Its 300 outpatient facilities will follow. The software will allow Mercy to gather all of its utility data including gas, electric, and water usage into a single, central database for analysis. In addition, the Bill Verification Module allows Mercy to enter information about its utility bills and compare it with collected meter data to verify if the bill is correct. With a common goal of providing high-quality care and bettering the experience for every patient, Mercy's commitment to a more energy-efficient facility will help it remain a leader in innovation and patient satisfaction.
