2013-02-19
MOUNT HOLLY, NJ, February 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) Mark Systems announced today that, for the fifth time since 2008, it's Integrated Homebuilder Management System (IHMS) has garnered the Top Products award for construction software, according to Constructech Magazine of Carol Stream, IL.

One of a series of high profile industry awards received by Mark Systems during that time, the Constructech top Products award honors technology solutions that have demonstrated the greatest innovations geared toward the homebuilding market.

"We're extremely honored to be selected once again as a Top Product in residential software," said Donald Scattergood, Mark Systems Vice President. "This is the latest in a string of industry awards for Mark Systems, including 4 previous Top Product awards and selection as one of the 50 top software companies in the construction market for 3 years in a row. Coming in the midst of the best three year sales period in our 30 year history, this award underscores what our customers already know; that Mark Systems' software let's homebuilders build more houses, more profitably, with fewer people."

Judging is conducted by the editorial team at Constructech magazine, and the products selected are based on various criteria, including the product's overall usefulness and uniqueness to the construction industry. In addition, the editors judge on the customer growth rate for the particular product during the past few years.

"Now is a time of innovation for homebuilders. Construction professionals are looking to implement technology that can help differentiate themselves from the competition. The winning 2013 residential Top Products do just that," says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Constructech. "These products provide customers with the ability to increase mobility, efficiency, and their profitability."

In part, the award notice states that "More than 700 enhancements have been added during the course of two major releases within the last year to the Integrated Homebuilder Management System (IHMS), and Constructech editors believe the Integrated Homebuilder Management System continues to rate as one of the most robust all-in-one suites for residential construction."

"In determining which products to implement, homebuilders often find themselves facing a lot of decisions regarding which options will line up best with their IT goals," says Mike Carrozzo, chief editor, Constructech. "The 2013 residential Constructech Top Products are some of the best options available today. We hope our choices can serve as a guide to companies as they begin, or continue, to shape their technology plans for the coming years."
