DALLAS, TX, February 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind today announced that it has added five new members to its board of directors including Robert B. Wallace, Craig Sabin, David Mulcahy, Michele Flood Luce and Michael L. Martin. This raises the total number of board members to ten to provide oversight and governance to the organization.
"We are very pleased to welcome these five distinguished business leaders to our board of directors," said Board Chair Michael Collier Bradley. As individuals, each new member brings solid expertise in a specific key area. As a group, their collective talents round our our board's overall skill set and and make us stronger."
• Robert B. Wallace is controller for Austin Manufacturing Services, an advanced Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) contract manufacturer. He is an accomplished, strategic financial executive with more than 30 years added value in leading companies through change and challenge to profitable growth. Wallace has a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting from Texas A&M University.
• Craig Sabin is a senior consultant with Deloitte Consulting. He has a proven record for delivering revenue growth; improving organizational and client financial performance; aligning solutions and services to organizational issues; and has a strong reputation as a forward-thinker with an ability to execute on strategy, build long-term business relationships and achieve profit margins. Sabin hold a bachelor's degree from William Patterson University.
• David Mulcahy, a consultant and published author on warehousing and distribution, brings extensive experience in warehouse management, delivery vehicle transportation management, material handling engineering experience, and developing and implementing global supply chain logistics strategies. Prior to redesigning QVC Japan and Germany's manual operations to high tech facilities, he managed European, Southeast Asian, Asian, China and Korean logistics strategies for Amway Corporation. Mulcahy holds an MBA from the Uninversity of Dallas.
• Michele Flood Luce has been an active member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) since 1976, and is currently involved with CWA's Retired Members Council. She serves on the Legislative Committee, and is a past chair of the local's Committee on Equity, while serving simultaneously at the national level. She also chaired the DART Mobility Impaired Advisory Panel. Flood began her career with AT&T, and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas and a master's degree in human relations in business from Amberton University.
• Michael L. Martin is president of Hospital Forms & Systems Corp., where he has increased sales resulting in a 750 percent growth since he became president in 2000. He also serves as an account sales representative for Moore Business Forms, Inc. Martin has worked with both companies since 1980. He holds a bachelor's degree in business education from Southern Illinois University.
