Worthington today announced his best-selling ebook Worthington Knights, "Curse of The Emeralds" is the first book-to-video game project on the popular crowd funding site Kickstarter. Now through April 5, 2013, pledges are being accepted on the Worthington Knights Kickstarter project page, with the minimum pledge $1 and up, and a total pledge goal of $10,000. The author plans to turn his popular fiction book about five teenagers brought together by five emeralds and the challenges they face into an action-packed video game for PC. The RPG game will let users change the story, save the Worthington Knight's family and friends and defeat the evil Nacoon Brothers.
"We're excited to have the opportunity to develop our best-selling ebook into an RPG game through the funds we raise on Kickstarter," said author J.R. Worthington. "Worthington Knights quickly gained a cult-like following and we're sure people soon will enjoy the new action and sci-fi blended video game. Everyone who makes a pledge to our Kickstarter project will receive a special gift," concluded Worthington.
Worthington Knights, "Curse of The Emeralds" is the story of five teenagers brought together by five emeralds. What these five unsuspecting teenagers believed to be their biggest gift turned out to be their worst nightmare when their parents are murdered. Hurt, angry and saddened, the five teenagers must learn to put the broken pieces of their lives back together. The best-selling ebook currently is available on Amazon. The video game will allow users to choose which Worthington Knight they'd like to become and overcome new challenges with every quest.
