Several major studies have been conducted over the past two decades on cold laser therapy, including studies from the Food and Drug Administration, Baylor College of Medicine and the Wellman Center from Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. These studies showed that laser therapy reduces pain in approximately 70% of patients on a wide array of injuries and conditions, while the other 30% see no change with zero adverse effects.

Cold laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure and is based on the idea that the light emitted by the laser is absorbed through the pet's body at the site of administration and into their cells. Therapy sessions typically last 10 to 15 minutes, but can last up to 30 minutes on a larger dog or if we are treating multiple areas. Animals experience no discomfort and often sleep through the therapy sessions.
