Manhattan ENT Helps Relieve Sinus Problems With New Procedure

Dr. Richard Nass helps relieve nasal problems in Manhattan with Propel sinus implants.

2013-04-04
MANHATTAN, NY, April 04, 2013 (Press-News.org) The highly accomplished otolaryngologist Dr. Richard Nass has been providing excellent Manhattan ENT service for decades. Now Dr. Nass is proud to announce the launch of a new service for those with sinus issues. A new, state of the art biodegradable sinus implant provides sinus relief for those with chronic sinusitis.

Each year 31 million people suffer from chronic sinusitis, which makes it one of the most common health problems in the United States. With this condition the sinus linings around the nose and eyes become inflamed. This leads to blockage, chronic infection, and obstruction. The symptoms of chronic sinusitis may include: facial pressure or pain, nasal problems Manhattan, nasal congestion or obstruction, nasal discharge that is discolored, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss of smell or taste, and headaches. If you experience any of these symptoms, you may be suffering from acute sinusitis.

Now with the availability of new Propel sinus implants, those who suffer from chronic sinusitis have a clinically proven treatment option. Propel delivers a localized and controlled release of steroids directly to the sinuses for those with Manhattan sinus disease. With a minor procedure, Dr. Nass inserts the spring like implants that keep the ethmoid sinus open and slowly deliver advanced corticosteroid to the lining of the sinuses. This corticosteroid provides anti-inflammatory relief right to the necessary area.

After surgery on the sinuses, scarring and inflammation can cause obstruction of the airways. However Propel improves surgical outcomes by preventing obstruction of the ethmoid sinus. This provides two main benefits: it reduces the need for more surgeries, and avoids the use of systemic steroids that carry more serious side effects.

Dr. Nass, Manhattan, NY ENT, is an NYU school of medicine graduate who completed his residency at the NYU Bellevue Manhattan VA Hospital System. Because he is both a Diplomate of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, his patients know that they can trust his experience and expertise. Dr. Nass also teaches at the NYU School of Medicine, so he understands the importance of integrating new technologies and techniques into his practice.

As an ENT in Manhattan, Dr. Nass stated, "I always keep up with the current research on ear nose and throat surgical treatment options in order to provide my patients with procedures and technologies that are of the highest quality possible. The Propel dissolvable sinus implant is one such new technology that is clinically proven to be safe and effective for delivering advanced anti-inflammatory corticosteroids directly to the sinus lining. This improves patient outcomes by preventing obstruction following surgery, and is the primary reason why I offer it for my patients."

The disposition of business assets in a Texas divorce

Within the property division process, the Texas family law distinguishes community property from separate property. The analysis is necessary for the purpose of allocating property to parties pursuant to a divorce. This is because community property is treated different from separate property. Assuming there is not a property division agreement, under Texas law, all jointly held community property is divided by the family law court and distributed to divorcing spouses. However, some property can be variable and difficult to characterize. This is often the case when one ...
