Mold Experts Recommend Frequent Cleaning Inside Air Conditioners and Ducts to Prevent Toxic Mold Infestations

Environmental Hygienists Fry and Taylor suggest quarterly, internal cleaning of air conditioning equipment and ducts to prevent and control mold problems often hidden inside air conditioning systems.

2013-04-19
LOS ANGELES, CA, April 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) Certified Environmental Hygienists Phillip Fry and Hank Taylor recommend that property owners, managers, and tenants stop toxic mold growth by opening up and thoroughly clean inside window air conditioners and central and split air conditioning equipment and ducts at least quarterly.

Moldy air conditioners, equipment and air ducts cause severe health harm to occupants of homes and commercial buildings by continually throwing elevated levels of airborne mold spores into the breathing air and by mold cross-contaminating all rooms, carpeting, drapery, and furniture inside the area being cooled.

Window air conditioners and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and ducts are mold factories that produce massive mold growth and very large numbers of airborne mold spores and mold volatile organic compounds.

The primary reason for air conditioning mold growth is the elevated level of humidity, moisture condensation, mold spores, and mold food (organic dust and dirt) that continually interact to drive mold infestation inside the air conditioning equipment and ducts.

"Air mold testing of the outward air flow from air conditioners and air conditioning duct registers is the easiest way to monitor air conditioning mold growth," suggest Fry and Taylor, who are also Certified Mold Inspectors, Certified Mold Remediators, Professional Industrial Hygienists, and Certified Ozone Professionals.

Fry and his wife Divine provide air mold testing services for air conditioning in homes and commercial buildings in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, California state-wide, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Arizona state-wide. Phone Mr. Fry 1-480-310-7970 or 1-480-217-7173, or email phil@moldinspector.com, or visit the website http://www.moldexpertconsultants.com.

Taylor and his wife Merley do air conditioning mold testing for residences and commercial buildings in metro Manila, Cebu, Philippines nationwide, Hong Kong, Singapore, and elsewhere in Asia. Phone Mr. Taylor 63-917-544-8160 or 63-912-481-7637, or email moldmen@moldinspector.com, or visit the websites http://www.mold.ph, http://www.envirohongkong.com, and http://www.envirosingapore.com.
