Ted Gaderick Reflects on a New Site That Aims to Improve the Personal Training Industry

Ted Gaderick reflects on a new site that aims toimprove the personal training industry.

2013-04-23
PHILADELPHIA, PA, April 23, 2013 (Press-News.org) Ted Gaderick, who owns a personal training and nutrition coaching service called Toned with Ted, is offering his thoughts on the development of a new site that could make a personal trainer's ability to market their services easier. A new article from NBC Chicago explains that the site is called amSTATZ, and it launched its beta version a few weeks ago.

The platform was created to target fitness professionals, helping them to build a centralized network of clients and connecting them to those who are looking for a personal trainer. In a way it is similar to LinkedIn, but aimed specifically at the fitness industry. The site, with headquarters based in Chicago, offers unique business management solutions to help combat personal trainers' common complaints, such as difficulty reaching the right audience. These professionals frequently hand out fliers, which passers-by end up tossing in the trash. Instead of wasting money targeting a large group of generally uninterested consumers, the site allows an individual to get in contact with those who are actually looking for these types of services.

amSTATZ also enables personal trainers to provide coupon offers that link to social media channels, thus making promotion and recruiting new business easier. When a client purchases this offer, this is also publicized on their own social media channels, allowing word to continue to spread about that particular trainer or service. It enables fitness professionals to make their voices heard as they build their business. They can get their messaging out in an articulate, unique way, instead of plastering advertisements and hoping someone takes notice. It is also of use to exercisers who know what they want out of a fitness experience, but lack hours of time that can be used for research.

Ted Gaderick, who is a personal trainer and a registered dietician, supports this new piece of technology, stating, "Even the best personal trainers sometimes struggle to get the word out about their offerings. Either interested clients don't know how to find them, or they get lost in a sea of online reviews, or they're spending time marketing to people who don't have a need for the service. Now personal trainers can get in contact with potential customers directly. It saves time and it makes the fitness industry easier for customers too."

Industry observers are feeling positive about the innovative new site and note that it will prove interesting to see if corporate gyms respond to the technology, or even join in. Ted Gaderick states that the site stands to enhance the use of social media channels and websites for personal trainers' marketing purposes, and will not hinder these efforts.

According to the survey from Sallie Mae and Ipsos Public Affairs, 39 percent of undergraduates between the ages of 18 and 24 said that they owned a credit card in 2012. This marks a 10 percent decrease from two years earlier. Data from the Federal Reserve also found that young adults who have credit cards are not carrying as high of balances as their older counterparts ...

Warmer temps mean more motorcyclists on Colorado's scenic roads

2013-04-23
After such a long, harsh winter, the 2013 motorcycle season promises to be a busy one for Colorado motorcyclists. Unfortunately, more bikes on the road can mean more opportunities for motorcycle accidents. Thankfully, though, if both motorcyclists and motorists keep some basic safety tenets in mind, the roads will be safer for everyone. For motorcyclists The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) reports that one in every five of the state's traffic fatalities annually is a motorcyclist. In 2010 alone, (the most recent year for which such data is available), ...

Study shows sponges most common item left inside body after surgery

2013-04-23
When you have a health condition that requires surgery, there are certain errors that the medical community and general public agree should never occur. These so-called never events, include surgical errors that are entirely preventable -- such as retained surgical objects. Unfortunately, a study conducted by USA Today revealed that surgical objects are left inside patients on thousands of occasions every year in the United States. While that figure may seem small in comparison to the 48 million operations performed in the U.S. every year, as every retained object could ...

Delayed Or Misdiagnosed Breast Cancer May Be More Common In Men

2013-04-23
Pink, usually thought of as a feminine color, has come to symbolize breast cancer awareness. Numerous awareness campaigns have involved pink ribbons to show support for women with the potentially deadly cancer. But breast cancer is not just a woman's disease. Although breast cancer occurs more often in women, men can also develop the disease. Because it is far less common in men, neither a man with the disease nor his doctor may realize that a suspicious lump or other symptom could be breast cancer. As with any cancer, a misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis can be fatal. Patients ...

2013-04-23
As traffic fatalities are on the rise in New York City, an environmental advocacy organization is focusing on protecting a particularly vulnerable group of commuters -- bicyclists. The group, Time's Up!, is taking action to spread awareness about the frequent lack of criminal charges filed against motorists who cause fatal collisions with bicyclists. Recently, the group of volunteers rode around the city, stopping at locations in which a fatal bicycle accident had occurred. At each location, the group spray-painted the outline of a body on the cement, along with details ...

Statistics show increase in number of distracted drivers

2013-04-23
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently published the results of its 2011 National Occupant Protection Use Survey, an annual survey regarding the use of electronic devices by drivers. Unfortunately, even though safety advocates, government officials and legislators have spoken out about the dangers of distracted driving in recent years, NOPUS results indicate that the number of drivers observed texting or otherwise using electronic devices while behind the wheel has continued to rise. This sort of behavior poses a significant danger and is now a leading ...

There are emotional considerations, the welfare of your children, the financial strain of establishing two separate households and the day-to-day realities of not being a cohesive unit with your spouse anymore. With all those disparate issues competing for your time and energy, it is no wonder that many divorcing couples don't have the ability to focus intently on an extremely important part of their lives: their small business.
