The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 includes a provision for a 2.3% excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices. The medical device excise tax (MDET) went into effect on January 1st of this year.
BeeneGarter's tax professionals are conducting a nation-wide survey to determine how MDET will affect medical device manufacturers and their businesses.
