Medical Device Excise Tax (MDET) Will Impact Medical Device Manufacturers

The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 includes a provision for a 2.3% excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices. The medical device excise tax (MDET) went into effect on January 1st of this year.

BeeneGarter's tax professionals are conducting a nation-wide survey to determine how MDET will affect medical device manufacturers and their businesses. The results of this survey will provide critical information as to how the bio medical manufacturing industry will be affected and how businesses will respond.
